Starting only two weeks ago its not likely that you will see profound results yet... it takes four to six weeks for the T4 in what you are taking to fully affect your system.... and then you determine via labs and symptoms whether or not to adjust up.... You're on the right road... and I know it's hard, but you need to be patient.

Signs tend to be improved energy levels, moods, more regular periods, better metabolic rate resulting in better weight management and energy, better sleep, improved skin and hair texture, increased hair and nail growth, better bowel habits... the list goes on and on....

When do you go in for your next labs?

Oh.. along with waking temp you can also monitor your heart rate...

Depending on how long you were low thyroid (hormones) you may also be noticing some adrenal issues, if they have become fatigued it's possible that adding thyroid hormone now might stress them further... It's something that you might want to be aware of.

For now, just be consistent with your dosing. Time of day, method (swallowing or sublingual)...

I want to make sure I understand the signs to look for to indicate I'm on a good dose of thyroid replacement (Armour). I should take an axillary temperature each morning, and it should be above 97.0. I should in general be feeling better. Should be regaining body hair where it was scanty. And should see weight loss.

Are there any other things to look for besides appropriate lab tests? I do have a Dr. willing to go by how I feel besides just lab work. I've been on 1 gr since the beginning of December, and don't feel any better yet. Not a surprise that my TSH didn't change at all from 1/2 gr to 3/4 gr. It was still at 1.87 which is too high for me to feel good. I don't imagine then being on 60 it's changed drastically, back to nearly 0. My Dr. has said many people feel best when the TSH is nearly undetectable.
