Guest guest
Does anyone have a relationship with a YMCA or hotel pool for providing aquatic therapy that would be willing to share their contract? We are looking into providing this service at a local hotel soon and are beginning to develop policies/procedures and a contract with the facility. If any one could offer a starting point or highlights of their agreements that would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Please feel free to contact me off the listserv if you prefer. Guest guest
Dear Eileen, I do not have a contract, but some advice. Make sure that your rent is low enough to make the effort worth it. We pay $100/hour to the local Y. Along with rent, therapist's salary, the ½ hour allotted to get the therapist to the pool location and up front equipment purchase there is very little room to break even. You could cram more patients into a session, but that lowers efficacy and pt. satisfaction. Most of your patients will be Medicare, which compels us to charge the group rate for the session (I believe it's $17.93). However, from a patient care standpoint it is a great addition to our clinic. Good Luck. Tell me, do you have a plan for #of patients /hour? von Lossnitzer, PT Manager of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Jaques Hospital Newburyport, Massachusetts > > > > Does anyone have a relationship with a YMCA or hotel pool for providing > aquatic therapy that would be willing to share their contract?
