Guest guest
I would contact your contracting department at Henry Ford. Our contacting department at Beaumont was very helpful to identity which insurances followed Medicare reimbursement policies which includes use of aides and ATC's. At Beaumont ours stated UHC follows Medicare reimbursement policies so we don't use aides or ATC's with UHC. We asked for their help mainly for the reason you give below. Vera Szram-Senyk Director of Rehab Services Office: Pager: Email: vera.szram-senyk@... >>> van Well 3/29/2010 5:47 PM >>> Colleagues, Can any of you tell me whether United Health Care recognizes ATCs as Rehab Care Providers? I have tried to find an answer on their website, which is about as inpenetrable as their phone system. In other words I can't get an answer from them. Any words of wisdom are welcome, though should you have appropriate links that would be better. Thank you. van Well, PT Henry Ford Health System Detroit, MI

Guest guest
You should check with your state regarding reimbursement using anybody other than PT's or PTA's. If your state doesn't allow the use of ATC's then it shouldn't matter what UHC allows. Matt Capo, PT Accelerated Physical Therapy and Occupational Health, Inc.
