Number one destination for every secondary school trip in the Midlands

and beyond! In the holiday period, my kids reckon they've done well if

they get on 4-5 rides during the day (white-knuckle, obviously). I

don't know about the rides for little ones - with parents paying full

price (just under 20gbp?), it would be an expensive day out.

In terms of value for money, our best trip was one wet Friday in October

(Baker day), when ds1 went on Nemesis (the latest white-knuckle at the

time) three times in 15 minutes - as compared to once in 2 hours when

he'd gone on the school trip in July. And they had to start up the

caterpillar specially for ds2, who rode round in splendid solitude,

waving regally as he went past (at least it was easy to see which one

was him on the photos)

I'm a real wimp with rides that go high - how come there's always a

little crowd of *mums* with cameras at the bottom of them, while dads

enjoy themselves. Oh, the mums get to look after the coats, bags,

left-over picnic, etc, too
