Guest guest
Hi , How's the foot? I have been thinking of you while I was sitting in 'e-mail exile'. Thanks for your kind words about the dismissal - what a mess, but it is now all over bar the shouting. I signed a letter last night accepting the offer of 5/1/2 months' salary as compenstion for the dismissal. Had they just stuck to 'financial reasons' for the dismissal it would have cost them a maximum of 2 months!! By writing all the untruths about me it has cost them extra in both compensation and legal fees PLUS they have given me a written acknowledgement that my points weree valid. All in all it has been a good outcome for me as I was not happy working in that environment - you could cut the tension with a knife. At the moment I'm not too sure what the future holds employment wise but I realise that I was crazy to have stayed where I was for as long as I did. Re Come on Aussie - I think it was used as the theme tune for at least one of the World Cup series. I'm not sure when though. Re chips - well sort of, I'm now talking about crisps. Would you believe that the Dutch taste doesn't run to salt & vinegar chips. I have been told that s tried on several occasions in the past to introduce S & V chips here but they went over like a lead balloon. Anything with vinegar (most pickles, chips, hot chips etc) is virtually unknown here - the Dutch 'murder' their hot chips with mayonnaise, sate (peanut) sauce, curry sauce and/or chopped raw onions. (Shame on me - why am I even thinking about such things?! Can you gain weight from dreaming about chips? Perhaps that's a question I should be asking Miki!!!!!) Cheers for now, Marie
