Hi,

My ten, almost eleven year old, son wears the calro 311 on his left ear.

This ear has a severe to profound sloping loss. They work well for him and

bring his loss from 50-100 sloping to 10-60 sloping with 84% spd. He is

profoundly deaf in his right ear and they bring his tone thresholds up to

45-60 in that ear with no discrim. He also has the integrated FM and really

likes it. The only concern with the Claro's is that the gain is max at 65

db. but he does not use it all and has his set at about 49. other aides may

give a little more gain but these are very flexible and easy to use. He has

the watch commander which allows him to adjust volume, change programs, and

turn the FM on all with his watch. They have also been pretty sturdy. He

played the whole season of little league without problems and recently got

drenched with it on at marine world. I dried them out in a diaper and they

worked fine. We do use super seals for sports to prevent moisture and a Dry

and Stor electrical dehumidifier.

Good luck,
