Guest guest
Hi Joyce, It helps because it cuts the carb count in half. Watch the size. Some bagels are bigger than others. As Dave said you can adjust your insulin to accommodate an occasional bagel. I wonder if splitting the bagel would be an alternative. Joyce where did I get all these carbs/highbloodcount from? I had a bowl of cereal this morning, I had two slices of good variety brown bread, the heavy type, with a generous amount of cream cheese on each half slice, I had three chicken/with batter/light,andand some frozen vegies, *fried a little in Basel margerine, but here's the catch, I had a glass of a kinda of kool aide drink, I thing I did it for ssure on the drink; I got an amazing blood count too high! I'm a little mythed on the hight count, but thinking about it again, maybe the kraft creamed cheese was was too much despite the reading from the label, *1 carg per 1 table spoon of philadelphia creamed cheese! I've noticed that one cannot always get a predictable reading as our system holds sugers from not only today, but days of the past. Any comments would be welcomed. Ken B in Toronto.
