Guest guest
You make a very good point about how much one can learn from this list. I, too, have learned a lot during my years of being associated with it, but perhaps as importantly: I always feel like this group is here as a kind of safety net for one another, and I love the feeling of security that gives. No matter how many years of experience any of us has, the nature of medicine means that we're always going to be learning. It's nice to know that we're not all off individually struggling with acquiring new information. I'll add my appreciation and thanks to everyone in this group. You all make my life a lot easier - and a lot more interesting, as well. Jayni This e-mail has been scanned with Norton Antivirus updated no more than 12 hours ago. Is your virus program up to date? just some appreciation for the group I just wanted to say how happy I am to have all of you as my " cubicle buddies " and TEACHERS. I don't post a lot of questions, but I sure learn a lot from the questions and answers I read from others. Joining this group is the most important thing I did for my MT career after completing my course. I've learned a whole lot more from you guys even than from my own experience transcribing for the past 11 months, and I just wanted to say THANKS!!! Guest guest
Ditto Jayni and J.L.! I think it's cool that we don't bicker too. Sure, there's a little flare now and then, but just look at how many people are on this list (607 members). Membership isn't restricted either. I mean anyone can join. My point is that with so many folks here in an open membership environment, I think we do GREAT! p.s. Intelligent debate is, of course, different than bickering, wouldn't y'all agree? Guest guest
Ditto everyone. I love the fact that this group tries to be helpful rather than always trying to be the know-it-all who has the only right answer. I love the fact that we at least try sometimes to discuss things we don't understand and try to figure out what might be correct. We might not always agree with each other, but we can give our point of view without any put downs or anything. Besides, we are never going to all agree on anything anyway. It sure is great to work at home but always feel like there is someone else around anytime we need some help or just some encouragement. Guest guest
, I've done the bit with the switch and cables and know what you mean about it's not being cheap. Sure was nice to have only one monitor, keyboard and mouse to use with two computers though. Also kind of nice to be able to switch back and forth when the one only had work and nothing else. I could then check e-mail on my own PC but still be doing work at the same time. It's better now that the work computer has everything so I don't have to go back and forth. Good luck with your new job. Let us know if we can help in any way. Margaret >>> " Jordan " 08/21/02 05:35PM >>> Ditto, um, cubed? <G> Even though, to date, I've only been doing my chiro account, I follow along and take notes on really good stuff. I start my training with Total E-med on Monday. My PC came today and I'll be hooking it up as soon as my sweetie gets home to tame the cables. I had to chase around to an electronics store today to buy a special switch and cables (NOT cheap!) so I can keep my monitor, keyboard and mouse as-is, and share them with both CPU's. Nifty set-up for one who's space-deprived. Can't wait to get started with some new accounts. I told them where my experience was what I like best, so I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get pathology or ob/gyn. Guest guest
I'm wishing you the best on this, . I'm waiting for my new work computer to arrive now, and have also purchased the switch/cable kit. I'm told this can be a little tricky, but I'm hoping to make it work because not only am I space challenged, I have a new TFT monitor of which I'm very fond, and I'd like to be able to use it for everything. Best of luck with your new job, too! I'll be starting training on my new position with Webmedx the day after Labor Day.
