, I think you're getting me confused with someone else, but Rossignol did do  a blood test which ruled out PANDAS. What other test should be done? Also, who is your DAN? My son frequently gets unexplained rashes. I  wonder if this could be from PITAND syndrome???

 

Robin, You said that you had your son tested for PANDAS. What test did they do? The blood test is not always accurate (strep titers can be low/negative even if there is strep in the body and PANDAS symptoms are occurring). Also, you said that he has gamma strep in the stool? I would think then that PANDAS is something you should consider. My son's DAN says that many times PANDAS progresses into PITAND syndrome, where the kids react to many viruses and bacteria, not just strep. This is definitely the case with my son. The last two colds that he had caused PANDAS symptoms and the only way we could stop it was to use a 3 day course of steroids. Then we added Biocidin and he is doing really well (it is antimicrobial and anti inflammatory, both important for PANDAS/PITAND).
