OT: not vaccinating my child

Hi everyone,

I took my 15 month old unvaccinated daughter for her well check-up

today and the doctor asked me "When are you going to start vaccinating

your daughter" I told him that I didn't know and wasn't sure that I was

going too. I also told him that my husband was totally against

vaccinating her. He told me that she was vulnerable to everything from

lock jaw to whooping cough, to keep her away from people and that I

should reconsider. I told him that when he could put it in writing that

there is no preservatives, no live viruses and that he would be

responsible for any health issues that she suffered from the jab that I

would reconsider. He said that he was doing his job and he is required

to tell his patients about the vaccines. What a load of crap! I'm just

wondering what other parents out there are doing when approached by the

doctor this way and what precautions you are taking with your

unvaccinated children.
