Guest guest
Hi, I'm in the process of finding an SLP for Ben and I'm gathering good interview questions. If you have any great questions and/or comments on the answers, please let me know. Sometime next week I can post the entire list back to the whole group. Here's what I have so far: -What is your educational background? -Are you certified? -How many years and what type of experience do you have? -What additional training have you taken in therapy for the deaf? Do you continue to attend training courses/workshops? -How many children have you worked with who were deaf/hard of hearing? What are their ages, range of deafness? How many pre and post CI? -If the SLP does not have (enough) experience: Do you have a supervisor/colleague who would act as a resource person to us? -Do you have parents attend the therapy sessions? -(If it is not possible to be in or observe the sessions) do you provide parent training/suggestions and activities for working with my child at home between sessions? Will I be given ongoing information about my child's progress? -What information do you have/what books would you recommend for me to read about? -References I can call? Borhegyi jborhegyi@...
