Let us know what happens when you see the doc Terry. Glad you got on an

antibiotic; hopefully it is one that will clear up the infection.

Hi to all:

This is Terrie. I did go to the doctor today and I am having blood work done

on Friday, but she put me on antibiotics I have had them before, but she

wants to see what the blood tells her before she does much else. She told me

that the leg was infected, and wants to make sure the infection does not go

right into the bone. She said it might be gout, but is not banking on that

and I am not really sure why. She wants to make sure of some other things

first. Specially because I already have arthritis in my legs. Oh, well. She

is also going to check my electrolytes and sugars, so she is going to do a

random test. She is going to have the home lab come into my house. they are

already in the building, so one more will not hurt them.

She knows that my eletrolytes usually go down when I have a bad infection

and when I described the way I feel she took the sheet of paper back and

added the other two tests to it. So, that makes me feel better too.

The doc wants me to do as much as I can within my limitation, but stay off

my leg as much as I can. I think she is a bit more worried than she is

letting on, but she forgets that I can read her.

I will get out of here for now.

A Great way to begin the new year.

Hello to all:

This is Terrie with the dog and cats.

Well, I begin the new year by going to my diabetic clinic for the first

time. That is on January 6. What types of things should I be asking them?

What will they be looking for? How many hoops do I need to jump through?

That is a question for any Canadians out west as they will know exactly what

I am talking about. And, do I have to go through welfair before going there?

I got a form for my doctor to fill out and sent it back was that a mistake?

Will I need to do another one?

Now, here is what is going on.

Over the summer my doctor and I had been watching a sore on my knee that was

not healing as it should. it has become infected. Don't worry, I am going to

the doctor. It was about 3 times it's normal size over the holiday and all I

had been doing was walking on it doing normal activities.
