Did any body else get the email from Dr Mercola that said vit A at really high levels negates vit D. He says that most of the cod liver oils which have vit A at 10x the level of vit D are doing more harm than good at these ratios. I ditched my nordic naturals cod liver oil straight away and bought carlsons fish oil instead. If u give beta carotene it is fine as in this form it doesn't negate the vit D which is what a lot of our little kiddos are short of. Can anyone recommend a good vit D supplement?

Hi guys, thanks for your replies so far. I have thought about pandas and i have a peadiatrician appt a week on mon so i will ask them to test for that. has had an EEG and it was normal, i just looked up LKS but i don't think this is it as he can understand some things we say like give me 5 and give me a hug or kiss and do u want a bath. He goes to a school for the severely disabled, he has never had an MRI but i would like him to have one. I just can't understand why he was further developed at age 3 than he is now?

I had a comprehensive stool analysis test and OATS test done at the great plains lab in Dec and i just wondered if anybody could tell me if a lactoferrin marker level of 12 is something to REALLY worry about in the stool test as it did mention inflammatory bowel disease in its explanatory paragraph when it said it was high. The medical professionals here in the uk do not use this as a measure for IBD and do not seem to be in any rush to complete the tests that they do use. My son is 5 and was diagnosed with autism when he was 3. He used to have single words and he used to point to things when asked to in a book like where is the table, chair etc he also used to make the appropriate noises that a said animal would make when asked e.g what noise does a duck make and he would quack or hiss for a snake yet now 2 years on he does none of the above and has lost all language plus he now has a turn in his left eye. He didn't walk until he was 2 and he has always had an awkward wide clumsy gait. He stims, gets aggressive (in the last year only) is very oppositional and defiant, has hyptonia but is also very loving gives great eye contact loves hugs and seems to embrace change rather than be worried by it.
