We also make figurines, ornaments and barware (wine glasses, flutes, etc.) in crystal. We own Gorham and Dansk as well. I know Dansk was a european company so perhaps that one is familiar? Dansk is a casual line and Gorham crystal, sterling and stainless steel.<<< Hi Miki, Thanks for the info - and you're right. I have heard of Dansk. Is it originally Danish? It sounds like it should be. >>>Marie!! OMG!!!! Not only are you SOOO forgiven, I will contact the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and have them IMMEDIATELY rename the syndrome to something ghastly!!!<<< Thank goodness for that. And here was me worrying about how I would cope with being in your good books. >>>Marie, the funny think is I read it the way you meant it and actually had to go back and reread it after THIS posting to prove that it wasnt there initially! LOL!<<< Funny that, I have done it SOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times myself - you see what you expect to see. Did you also pick the other typo? In the last line of the 4th verse 'so' should read 'to'. >>>I still think my favorite is " fall pregnant " .<<< That's the first time I've ever really thought about the expression Miki. It is so commonly used in Australia that I never stopped to consider that it might sound strange to 'foreigners' It wasn't until I came here to live that I began to realise how many of the words/expressions I use are actually Australian (as opposed to English). When I started getting what are you talking about' looks from people both here and in UK, I realised just how many expressions are specific to Australia. I've found the Strine books and I'll put a few of the words/expressions in a messge soon. In the mean time, try getting your tongue around these - all genuine Aussie place names Adaminaby Lake Cadibarrawirracanna Moorabbin Beaumaris Wooloomooloo Koo Wee Rup Oodnadatta Wagga Wagga Nar Nar Goon Katanning Ararat Ballarat Bendigo Dimboola Nhill Warracknabeal Toowoomba Ki Ki Nuriootpa Jeparit This is just a tiny sample of what you'll have to cope with when you make that trip Down Under Miki - enjoy NOW Miki, after Oz you will of course be heading to Holland. Hans always says that Dutch isn't a language, it's a throat disease. First of all I want you to practice your very best gutteral 'G' sound. After about 6 months you MAY feel confident about tackling saying the name of the Dutch town which glories in the name Oegstgeest. I will NOT be held responsible for any medical bills incurred in straightening out your vocal cords. Cheers for now, Marie
