Guest guest
Hi Rick and all, I wear Crocks because they slip on and off so easily. Now, I will also say that there must be two types of Crocks, one are those sold by Wal-Mart and the like while the other are sold by merchants who supply clothing and other supplies to medical personell. I had a pair of Crocks which were *extremely* well padded on the sole and, man, were they comfortable. They were also around $30 while the Wal-Mart variety were in the $5 neighborhood. You mean your foot doctor actually recommended Crocx shoes? I was under the impression that Crocx weren't particularly good for Diabetics so I'm interested to hear that. Are they the normal every day Crocx found in stores, or are they specifically designed for Diabetics? I wear the diabetic shoes, which have special made inserts in them. They are not particularly " in " , looking like nurses' shoes. They do come na number of colors. Buty they very comfortable. I wear Crocks during the summer as recommended by foot doc Custom made shoes? Hey there guys. When I went to the podiatrist a few weeks ago, I was told that my insurance covered 1 pair of custom made shoes and I think that is per year but not sure. Anyhow, they submitted the request for them and I found out that it was approved so I am going in tomorrow to get measured by the Doctor. Has anyone on this list ever had this done? It's great that it is covered so I would think that this would be something that others might be interested in. I'm wondering what the shoes are really like and if folks can really notice the difference when wearing them. I usually wear Crocx because I have trouble finding really comfortable shoes so I'm looking forward to giving these a try once they come in. Would be interested in anyone else's experience with made to order shoes. They are made by a company called Dia-Foot. Can't help but wonder if they might be ugly with no sense of fashion to them at all.
