My daughter is 3 years old and has still not been diagnosed with ASD. Her speech

is severely delayed and she has some stimming issues. Last year she came down

with Bell's Palsy (paralysis on one side of her face) for a few weeks. The

doctor said that she most likely had Herpes Simplex and he had never seen Bell's

Palsy in someone so young. She has been sick at least once every two months

since she was born. . Has anyone been through a similar situation?? Does she

seem like an ideal candidate for Valtrex?? We are going to see our DAN doc this

Thursday and I am wondering if we should try to pursue this with him.

Ok, , you have me very curious about TORCH. I actually have a "What is this?" folder for posts about things I've never heard of and TORCH is the most recent addition. ...but could you give it to me in a nutshell?

It may be Herpes Simplex/TORCH. Have you had herpes?

Bell's Palsy is very linked to Lyme Disease, which can also cause just about all symptoms. Some with autism have been recovered from treating for Lyme. So, it is something to look into.Love and prayers,Heidi NMy daughter is 3 years old and has still not been diagnosed with ASD. Her speech is severely delayed and she has some stimming issues.
