Guest guest
Last night I was shaking so bad it was like I was frozen or something. I wasn't cold at all and i couldn't stop shaking. I am fine this morning but tired. Has this ever happened to anyone here with MS? It has happened to me about five years ago as well. I just put it down to MS since it sends funny messages at times. Happy Spring to everyone and hope everybody is enjoying it. I love this time of year with all the new growth and the beauty of it all. Hope all is doing well and i will pop in again/ Thanks
Guest guest
I have all the sympathy in the world for those of us wMS who get very cold. Me, however, I think that the last time I got cold was in the mountains skiing and it sank to 22 degrees below zero. I cannot tolerate much heat, and dread summer, but do love to swim and to be outdoors. Now, if only I could find a way to share my hot- blooded nature with others of you, I surely would. Love to you both, Sharon and , n, waay out in the San Francisco Bay Area Another questionLast night I was shaking so bad it was like I was frozen or something. Guest guest
You are so right about it being miserable. The first time this happened to me. I just needed to add a bunch of blankets on me. This time though, I needed a cold glass of water and anyone with a bladder problem knows what happens when you are drinking later in the evening. I had a couple cold glasses of water and went back to bed and was able to fall asleep. I am surprised my husband was able to fall asleep though cause I was shaking the bed every time I started to shiver. Then of course. throughout the night I woke up sweeting like I usually do, > > The same thing had happened to me and it takes a lot of blankets and a roaring fire to warm me up again. It's pretty miserable, isn't it? But at least it's over once I warm up! > > Sharon > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MSersHEALTH/ > This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Growing up we had swamp coolers - you ran out side - hosed down the cooler and it spit water drops on you for half and hour or so - my ex was always amused at me - being raised in St Louis with moist humid summers he wanted the Antarctic in our home in the summer - me I went outside to warm up - I remember going into holiday meals at his Mom's in St Louis - being dressed up and as soon as I hit the house (even in the summer ) finding a sweater in the closet to wear - the guys put the cooler on and we turned it off. I am an Okie and only wear shoes out of the house - well until I go to friends house and then the shoes come off - friends have to remind me to wear them. I have always kept quilts on the bed in July and August - I get cold easily. Two years ago I got a faux fur throw - it is the best to warm up under - I get cold and the blanket helps and then sometime later I wake up warmer Another question> > Last night I was shaking so bad it was like I was frozen or something. > I wasn't cold at all and i couldn't stop shaking. Guest guest
When I shiver, I am not cold, either. However, sometimes putting on a blanket will help stop the shivering. Be good to yourselves!! Akiba -- Re: Another question The funny thing about this is, I am not even cold, I just shiver like I am. This is coming from someone that can wear shorts int he winter and even bare feet if I want to. I hear you about summer as well, I get so miserable with the heat. I am usually stuck inside with the air on high. My kids use to say in the summer time they would have to leave their coats outside the door so they could put them on before coming in the house, LOL The wonderful thing about this MS is you never know what is going to happen next, Maybe after 11 years of having MS i am going to start felling the cold instead of the heat. wouldnt that be nice.... You can always add more clothes right? lol>> I have all the sympathy in the world for those of us wMS who get very> cold.
