I was in touch with MP Fletcher's office and since our election, he

has changed portfolios. This means that I must go to the new minister of

health to present our case and letters on getting the Prodigy meters

approved in Canada. I am presently working on getting some time with her.

The new minister of health is Ms. Leona Agluqk. She was previously the

minister of Health in the North West Terratories and so is familiar with the

problems of diabetes and the Inuvit people. I hope to be successful. I

will keep you updated as things transpire.

Hello,

We have not received a meeting with the Minister of Health, but it does

look like they have gotten the Medical Devices Bureau to look at our

application early because DDI received a phone call from the Medical Devices

Bureau to re-do a piece of the application near the end of the application

after Health Canada said they would not be looking at the application for

quite awhile. Nearest I can figure, our letters are moving Health Canada to

do something for us. This is good news!
