Guest guest
Hi Louise, Do you mind if I ask if your labs show that you have good ft3 on that dose? I only ask because I don't " think* I need as much t3, either, and my temps bear that out, but my ft3 is definitely not at the top of the range, although my rt3 ratio is very good -- over 30. (I think that is good anyway!) I am not sure if I should just worry about how I FEEL and what my temps are and not worry about the lab ranges so much. thank you! Kathleen > I am on 45mcg of T3 only and I have no thyroid. Ive been doing this for over 6 months now. Everyone is different and everyone's bodies work differently. It may take you some time to get other things right like your adrenals, ferritin or B12 until your body can tolerate high doses of any thyroid medication. But it may also be the case that your body doesn't need more. > My hypo symptoms have now almost disappeared. I know that most people here are on high doses but there are some of us who are also on what are classed as relatively smaller doses and clearly don't have the same stages of resistance as others. > Don't push yourself into the higher doses if you don't need them. Its important to keep a good eye on your symptoms and medicate appropriately. > I think that now my RT3 has cleared (my ratio was 7) that 45-50 has virtually eliminated symptoms. Certainly my adrenals needed support and now that I have that, the T3 is getting into the cells and I feel much, much better. There still isn't definitive proof or studies to show what doses should be and everyone has different problems i.e hashis, graves, thyca, full thyroidectomies, hemi thyroidectomies, cancer etc etc etc. > Like Val,Nick and others on this forum, I plan on staying on T3 only. Its the only thing that works effectively for me. > Cheers > Louise > > > > > > > > > > > >Anyone just take T3 and nothing else longer than needed to lower Reverse T3?
