Guest guest
>Anyone just take T3 and nothing else longer than needed to lower Reverse T3? How long and at what dose do you take? I'm staying on T3 only permanently now, I was on 125 and have just tried an increase to 137.5. Resistance cleared a couple of months ago now, I was on 225 to 250 of T3 before it cleared. Before that I was on 12 grains of Armour. Nick

Guest guest
Wow, Nick. That is quite a lot of Armour and quite a lot of T3 too. And I'm sitting here wondering what my little 37.5mcgs is possibly going to do to me long term. THanks. > > >Anyone just take T3 and nothing else longer than needed to lower Reverse T3? Guest guest
TY. So one can stay on T3 forever with no ill effects? This is what I'm trying to figure out. I'm on low dose still and I stopped my Synthroid after only using it 4 weeks b/c I was getting weird mood swings and depression and I'm gaining weight too. I am thinking of trying the Erfa. But I have to wait on my last lab report to see what the T3 level and RT3 is right now. > > I have been on T3 onyl ofr almost 2 years with 2 excursions back ot > tryoing to add back in NT and both attemps failed so I am staying on it > this time. Guest guest
Great. I'm thinking of doing T3 only myself. I am interested in Dr. Lowe as well. I will read his site more thoroughly. > > From what I have found on HOURS of research T4 is ONLY a storage > hormone. Guest guest
So then, when you get to that tipping point where the pooled T3 puts you into hyperthyroid, hyper will only last two days? Guest guest
Nick, Thanks for your response. I am really scared about doing T3 only. My doctor, who is not familiar with this particular technique, was really scared for me to do it based on temps. She had a patient who did the protocol who ended up hospitalized with extreme tachy. I don't think she knows about the AF connection, fully, although she sort of treats that as well. Anyway, my point is, I am really scared doing this. I am up to 37.5 mcgs (divided doses), and with the advice here, I'm not having such bad palps as I was when I tried a modified 's and got up to 25 mcgs. But I am still scared. I've never in my life had to depend so heavily on a prescription med to get by. Scared. I am currently doing this without the guidance of a doctor (spent all my money on doctors trying to figure this out, ended up figuring it all out on my own). Eventually, when I have a lot more money, I want to go back to my current doctor and start educating her. She is incredibly open to learning, and is a holistic allopath. Just, out of network and therefore expensive. Thanks for all your help. Pam

Guest guest
Nick, Thanks for your encouragement, and for sharing your experiences. You, Val and these forums are a Godsend! Yah, I have pooped adrenals, and I don't think my doc was able to adequately treat them...It's just amazing what I've learned here in the past few months. I look back over my labs for the past 3 - 4 years and recognize so much more now! So much makes sense now.
