Guest guest
The ting is, Ken; what is your Body Mass Index (BMI)? A normal BMI is between 20and 25. If you are interested, I can give you the formula for finding out your BMI. It is the ratio between your height and weight. For instance, I am 5 ft. 1 and weigh 133. My BMI is exactly 25-so I better careful not gain more. But we did a BMI on a 6 ft. 3insch guy the other day who weighted over 200 pounds an his BMI was 28.3-which meant he was in the overweight category. If your BMI is 30 your are considered obese and if it over 35 you are considered morbidly obese. In my diabetic class we have a guy who is t ft. 3 inches tall and weight 232. His BM is 42, which is actually dangerously obese! The BMI is good number to know so you can decide what you need to do to lose weight. Re: where did I get all these carbs/highbloodcount from? yes, I do eat 75 carbs a meal; according to this expert a few years ago when I found out I eas a diabetic, she told me that that was ok because my body weight was 232 pounds and I was a big fellow ETC. Ken B where did I get all these carbs/highbloodcount from? I had a bowl of cereal this morning, I had two slices of good variety brown bread, the heavy type, with a generous amount of cream cheese on each half slice, I had three chicken/with batter/light,andand some frozen vegies, *fried a little in Basel margerine, but here's the catch, I had a glass of a kinda of kool aide drink, I thing I did it for ssure on the drink; I got an amazing blood count too high! I'm a little mythed on the hight count, but thinking about it again, maybe the kraft creamed cheese was was too much despite the reading from the label, *1 carg per 1 table spoon of philadelphia creamed cheese! I've noticed that one cannot always get a predictable reading as our system holds sugers from not only today, but days of the past. Any comments would be welcomed. Ken B in Toronto. Guest guest
You multiply your weight times 709, then divide that number by your height in inches twice. Forinstaance, my weight is 133 X 709 divided by 61 twice. Re: where did I get all these carbs/high blood count from? , I don't like what is on my calculator.
