RE: CYCLYING

Visited the dr. on monday, no great news to report but interesting

conversations.

Dr. says that the spirochete loves to attack what is the weakest part of us.

My back is bad, so come my period it gets worse. I guess they are smart

enough to know where to go.

Her theory is that if you can chart your own cycle of when you feel the

worse and when you feel the best that you can do a modified pulse. That is

double your dose 2 days before the onset of severe symptoms and do that for

7-10 days. Theory being they are out in force so attack them. Then lay off

the drugs until the cycle starts again. It may just be a theory but that is

what we are going to do. BUT DON " T TRY THIS WITHOUT YOUR DR's consent as we

are all different AND we need to be monitored. I am starting a cocktail

next month of both a protein inhibitor and a cell wall abx, not sure what

they will be yet but that should get the ol' bug on the outside (cell wall)

and inside(protein),

She also said they are hot on the trail of a cure for lyme but it is atleast

2 years down the road. Oh, she also showed me an article very very

critical of the Lyme vaccine, the possiblity that it is causing immune

system problems like lupus. YIKES!

Hey Sharon,

Thanks for the update on what your doctor is trying for you, seems to

make sense to me. I really get the sense that these poor doctors are just

throwing meds at us hoping something will work....news of a cure in 2 years

or so sounds promising, I sure hope she is right.

Hugs,

Marta

WITH REGARD TO THOSE IN THE GROUP CONSIDERING THE USE OF CHINESE HERBS.

PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS !!!!!!!!

AT TIMES THEY MAY CAUSE SEVERE MEDICAL PROBLEMS INCLUDING KIDNEY FAILURE.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE MONITORED BY A QUALIFIED PHYSICIAN WHEN TRYING NEW

TREATMENTS. A CLOSE FRIEND ALMOST DIED AFTER BEING TREATED BY A CHINESE

HERBALIST IN NEW YORK CITY WHEN HE WENT INTO KIDNEY FAILURE. HE WAS BEING

" TREATED " FOR PSORIASIS AND PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS.

Can you tell me where I can find more information on the harmful effects of

meat and diary products using calcium from the bones. I have a relative who

I believe could benefit from this information. It might cause her to change

her diet. I know red meat is not good for us, but I did not know about the

calcium effect. Thanks.

The problem is due to an excess of protein in the diet. Studies show that

calcium from the bones is always lost when protein intake is too high,

regardless of how many calcium rich foods or supplements are taken.

Here is a reference (I follow the guidelines in this book). Dynamic Living,

How to Take Charge of Your Health. Aileen Ludington and Hans Diehl. Look in

the index under OSTEPOROSIS.

Soft drinks are also a problem and the reason is the phosphoric acid in the

drink. The body eliminates the extra phosphoric acid through the kidneys by

combining it with calcium.

lower prices the more you order, of course, I have no idea how many you are

looking for. Their plastics run about 30 cents apiece, glass, fancy ones,

still less than you are quoting.

Subject: Whitney's January Swap

Hi everyone! It has been horrible of me not to post anything lately,

but have been overwhelmed with life lately. Then again, I noticed

that nobody has posted any recipes to the database, so I don't feel

quite so bad :) I have a question regarding the swap I participated

in in January - I did mainly bath salts & milk bath salts in little

mason jars. Does anybody have any feedback on those? I ask mainly

because I didn't let the bath salts dry out before I jarred them -

did they clump up or mold or anything else horrible? Also, I would

just like to know so I don't make them the same way if they didn't

turn out well. You all know what I mean, right? I have only done a

few things since then - bath bombs, which turned out wonderfully, and

lotion, which didn't turn out at all.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Beth

Mine clumped together but it didn't affect the way they worked. They smelled

wonderful by the way.

Terri

Hello to all.

I have not been on the computer for a long time, have been

off the meds now for just about 4 months, just had a liver profile done, did

not get the results back yet hope all is the same. How is everyone???? So

Alley pat, 6 more weeks,GOOD FOR YOU, AND YOU CAN DO, If I did it for 2

years( don't ask me how ) then these last weeks will be a breeze. O.K. 2

Things for the tiredness, I still get the B-12 shots, ask your doc. about

them. The shots, helps with the tiredness and also helps with helping our

cells ( in our body) . Now for the 2nd question, if you cannot get the

biopsy, a liver scan helps to see the whole picture. I am not saying a biopsy

is not needed, but if worst comes to worst, ask for the scan, you will be

surprised at what they find, and always keep a copy for yourself. Good to be

back, just needed a break. How are you doing Claudine? Some people that are

new to the group must be wondering why has she been on for 2 years???? Long

story, if you want to know just ask,

Talk to you soon

Beth,

Well, your bath salts smelled absolutely wonderful! I got the mixed fruits

one. But they were super hard in the jar...i had to dig them out with a

spoon to use them... what fragrance oil did you use?

I beg to differ here. My liver scan showed up no abnormalities at all, yet

a biopsy done the same day revealed stage 2 fibrosis. I would not recommend

anyone rely on a scan alone for accurate assessment of their situation. If

I had not learned about my fibrosis my doc and I would have decided not to

treat, I could have reached cirrhosis or worse before the penny dropped. A

liver biopsy is never pleasant, but neither is it as bad as you imagine it

could be. My advice is to get one done asap. love Sylv

Re: CA 125 Blood Test for Ovarian Cancer

A radiologist told me recently that there is a test where sugar is injected

into the body & it will tell exactly where the cancer is, since cancer feeds

on sugar. It didn't ask what the name of the test is, however.

Elise, My son's now 16 -- he has mild/moderate autism. We've used a series of meds throughout his life, from antidepressants to anti-aggressive meds, depending upon what symptoms are most intrusive to his functioning. There have also been times when he is med-free, while we "clean his system" to see where he stands. The trick with meds is to constantly be tweaking doses and types of meds, since their bodies change so quickly, esp. when adolescence kicks in. Right now we've started him back on an anti-depressant because his obsessive thinking and talking have escalated again. Anti-depressants at high doses work to combat OCD. We're slowly increasing the dose over a series of weeks to see what level will work. Kate IPADDUnite wrote: IPADDUnite IPADDUnite Messages In This Digest (4 Messages) 1a. head start on "adult" issues!). Both of my ASD sons are on medication, not for the ASD, but for certain co-existing conditions that seem to go along with the ASD (hyperactivity and anxiety). Medication has not helped their core ASD deficits, but it sure helps us with our therapies for the ASD. I hope that this helps! -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Elise" <elisebock > Hi Everyone, I'm new to the group and pretty new to ASDs although I need to learn fast. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's about three years ago and he is now 25. His two sons whom I am raising, seem to be following in his footsteps. Before we knew he was an Aspie he went through a handful of antidepressants with very little effect. Now he's not on anything. I've been reading about many of your children on several different medications and was wondering why. I've been told, and have read, that Autism is not treatable with medication so I'm wondering what the meds are for? Thanks, Elise Back to top Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web

ASDs and Meds Posted by: "Susie Redfern" familyguides@... familyguides Sat Jul 14, 2007 7:35 am (PST) Elise, Perhaps autism itself is not treatable with meds, but the conditions that often accompany it certainly are (or may be). For example, my son's obsessive-compulsive behaviors/anxiety has been greatly reduced with Depakote (which was originally prescribed for anti-seizure purposes). For him, fortunately, this medication has never had any noticeable side effects and blood tests have always showed everything normal. I call it "the magic medicine that turned Pinocchio into a real boy". Susie Redfern __________________________________________________________ Looking for a deal? Many ASD and Aspie people suffer from anxiety, which causes them to have some behavioral issues. Certain meds can reduce the anxiety which causes a reduction in the behavioral issues. A good psychiatrist with autism expertise is a must in these situations. Hi all, Has anyone enrolled their children in any of the vocational skills classes offered by College of DuPage? I am considering enrolling Ruth for the fall sessions of Employment Skills and Computer Skills. Just wondered if anyone has had any ecperience with these classes and what you thought.
