Thanks again, Nick. Saying thanks just doesn't seem enough.

No I'm not on timed release because said it's very weak and doesn't work

well, didn't recommend it and so I insisted on multi-dose compounded even though

the pharmacist wanted me to do timed-released. So I am on 2.5 mcg. every 2 hour

dosing for a total of 15 mcg.

Even if Val said " OK switch to the time released " , I have a problem with the

pharmacist who went ahead and based on my insisting on NO timed released,

pre-made up 300 pills for all the future higher doses so I wouldn't get caught

without meds during a busy compounding time for them. She's the only compounder

around and they do get busy. And she is responsible for convincing my doctor to

let me go on the RT3 protocol in the first place so I don't want to jeapardize

our relationship.

I guess that I could pay her for the 300 pills that she's made up and switch to

timed released, but that would probably cost me about $500 and be a total waste.

I don't think I could afford that.

This scheduling is very complicated and confusing so please bear with me.

First, I couldn't get IV iron here without going to a doc who charges - wait for

it - $900, no insurance taken, for an initial consultation. God only knows then

how much the treatments would be.

My original schedule was 9, 11, 1, 3, 5, 7 with the pharmacist saying, well

you're just not going to get all of the T3 of one of those doses because of the

first daytime dose of iron and calcium. I took 2nd dose of vitamins of iron and

calcium at bedtime, 11 PM since you can't take all the calcium you need (I have

osteopenia so can't skip calcium) in one dose at bedtime because of kidney

stones. I don't think calcium and iron would interfere with sleep.

Since I started iron dosing I've been taking most at night, and calcium doesn't

interfere with sleep, so it must be the T3.

PLAN OPTION:

T3- 9 AM (which is where I've been starting so I want to stay consistent),

Vitamins - 1/2 vitamins at 10 AM,

T3 -2, 4, 6, & 8 PM. Eliminates one dose, but total is still 12.5 mcg per day.

Second half vitamins at Midnite. Sort of late.

Isocort at 10, 2, 5, 8 and one before bed which helps me sleep - or used to. In

a 4, 3, 2, 1, and 1 doses.

I have Cortef but the Isocort seems to be working so I'd rather not go

to the heavy duty stuff.

SECOND PLAN OPTION:

T3- 9 AM

Vitamins - half at at 10 AM,

Cut down to a total of 3 doses including 9AM dose, taking 5 mcg.at time.

T3 - 5 at 2, 5 at 5.

Last half of vitamins at 9 PM which might help me sleep if that's the cause of

my insomnia.

Isocort at 10, 2, 5, 8 and one before bed which helps me sleep - or used to. In

4, 3, 2, 1, and 1 doses.

I could switch to two doses of 7.5 now but that won't hold as I start raising

and need to add in 2 more doses.

The pharmacist came up with this schedule over 25 days, 5 days each step.

2.5 X 6 = 15

5 X 6 = 30

7.5 X 6 = 45

10 X 6 = 60

12.5 X 6 = 75

So since the pills are made up, I don't know how I'd do this with 4 doses.

Unless I got more smaller doses made up to make every dose the same.

The only other option I see is to pay the $500 and go to timed released which

Val says isn't good.

I can't put off the RT3 treatment because I am very hypo and haven't worked in a

year already. I can't work because I have a very high stress job. I'd never get

better. BTW, I'm an independent contractor so I get no benefits: no sick leave,

vacation, disability. I have to try to do everything at once: raising ferritin

and adrenals along with adding T3 at the same time. I did start adrenal support

and iron before the T3 but only for about a month. It's the only option for me

to keep on surviving.

Nick, I paid $67 for 180 25 mcg pills. Is that a good price? I think it's

kinda expensive.

If you have a better source, could you possibly email it to me also??

Thank you!
