Guest guest
Amy, WE can't act as medical professionals, but I'm sure some of us will have a few suggestions. A couple things come to mind: Do you eat poorly? If the numbers you posted about your cholesterol are correct, you indeed need to get those numbers more inline. For a diabetic, the so-called bad cholesterol (ldl() should be 70 or below. And the good cholesterol (hdl) should be 40 or higher. I suspect you may not have posted the correct numbers, as the high number you stated could be your triglycerides. And it that's the case, your number is way high. Start switching to a diet high in nutrition, which means lots of healthy veggies along with lean meats, while minimizing quick acting carbohydrates that are usually in the white flour and processed or enriched family. try to eat whole grains, such as whole oats (old fashioned oatmeal, not quick oats), multi-grain breads (3 grams of fiber or higher), and watch the snacking. This may or may not be what you're striving for, but it needs to be the life style all of us as diabetics (and everybody else in reality), need to adopt. Dave did you receive your NLS player yet?
