Guest guest
My daughter who is 28 months old was on Nystatin for 2 months and after being off it for only 3 weeks her yeast was back. Three days ago we started her on Diflucan once a day at 2 ML. As far as a die off we are not seeing anything. However what we have noticed is that she is moving stuff more, her form of play has always been toget a couple things and she put them in a pile and then she will move them one by one to another place. We have noticed that she is doing this more but other then that no difference. I was wondering if Diflucan is time released through out the day or if it only last for a couple hours. Also she does babble or maybe she is talking but her words are not clear I was wondering if anyone else noticed that ther child's words became clearer with using Diflucan. One more question...stool watery normal? Thanks for your time.
Guest guest
Dyflucan works better than Nystatin, it is a better antifungal but it can be harmful longterm, mind you I will not take my son off of it, since he started talking only after we started it. It should last 24 hours and it should kill all of her yeast although my DAN doc had my son on it 2x a day then reduced him to 1x a day 2.5ml. I would notice less spinning and less running around and more language. I saw no die off but after 3-4 days I saw improvements. If your daughter has watery stool maybe she needs more probiotics? Tell your DAN doctor about the stool for sure. Guest guest
Judy, Thanks for the reply and Happy New Year to you and your family. My dan has her on the Diflucan for 30 days and then I think the plan is to put her back on Nystatin. I think that the watery stools may not be from the Diflucan but rather Zyme Prime. I'm glad to hear that your son responded to the antifungal so well, was him talking at all before taking it, or babbling? Also I have been giving her the Diflucan at 11:00am and then she gets her probiotic before bed, do you give the two closer together? My dan didn't tell me when to give it to her just to give it at the same time each day. She has been on a probiotic for 5 months now and has always taken it before bed. Thanks for your help. I love my Dan but sometimes you can't get all your questions answered on your visit and they don't like you calling everyday. Thanks a bunch, To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, December 31, 2010 12:44:11 AMSubject: Re: Diflucan Dyflucan works better than Nystatin, it is a better antifungal but it can be harmful longterm, mind you I will not take my son off of it, since he started talking only after we started it.
