Re: Two things...

For number 1 - probably because it is easier to find soy, rice, almond and coconut milk now than it is to find goat milk? The other thing might be that by the time you are ready to go casein free, you just jump in with both feet and do it? We did GF for my son for a few months and I just couldnt imagine taking away the milk and by the time I got around to being willing to try, I didn't want to take a side trip to goat milk. :-) But if/when we decide to try adding milk back in, maybe we will try that.Raw milk (from cows) is supposed to be more easily digested by humans, according to Dr. Mercola.

I am really curious about two items:1. Why is it that nobody in the autism community makes a distinction between cow-milk casein and sheep/goat-milk casein? I have celiac and can handle the goat milk without any issues and my understanding is that the casein protein is a different molecular structure, one much closer to the way the protein is in human milk.2. Did anyone else test their water while trying to find contamination sources? Both of my daughters are high in copper (and one of them is really high in a bunch of things) per their hair tests. We just got back the results of our water testing tonight (we tested 3 spots in the house) and we are fairly convinced our old hot water tank has been contaminating their bath water.Just a couple of thoughts in case they may be helpful to anyone else!- Kati
