Guest guest
My son just got his urine toxic metals and urine essential elements test back from DDI. We just finished our 5th round of chelation (using your protocol with DMSA only every 4 hours). My son is showing aluminum, arsenic, bismuth, cadmium, lead, mercury, nickel, tin, and uranium all within the green reference range. (His initial urine test before chelating showed no mercury so I'm glad to see some coming out). I'm concerned about his essential elements lab values...out of 21 elements, he is extremely high in 8 elements, moderately high in 6, low in 5, and in the normal range for 2. His creatinine is 55 (ref range 21-76). He is really high in sodium-a value of 3750 (norm 760- 2350), potassium is 6580 (norm 360-1640), molybdenum is .091 (norm is .011-.063), lithium is .081 (norm .003-.039). Why would these values be so high? I'm really concerned about the sodium and potassium. Any input would be greatly appreciated. My son is doing well with chelating but these values concern me. We have just finished a CBC to check liver and kidney function and everything was fine. Thanks for any help you can offer! I am supposed to start chelating Friday, but not sure whether or not to wait.....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest guest
Was it a timed collection? If not, it is uninterpretable. The high Na and K probably reflect dietary intake. If not it reflects sudden adrenal impairment since that can't go on long without dietary replacement. The only thing in the diet that's changed (and I just thought of it now), is that he's eating pretzels. Nothing else has changed though. He only eats about 8 different meals that I rotate...very picky texture wise. Anyway, should I continue with my next round of chelation Friday? Thanks Andy!! > Andy . .. . . . . . .. > > > My son just got his urine toxic metals and urine essential elements > > test back from DDI. Guest guest
My daughter had identical results. What was amazing is her hair results showed really low levels of the same elements. I tried to get answers to this question last year. I took this information to a metabolic specialist who makes about 400k a year. He gave me the typical response which is a rolling of the eyes and a schrugging of the shoulders. He charged my insurance about 650.00$ though. What a great system. > He is really high in sodium-a value of 3750 (norm 760- > 2350), potassium is 6580 (norm 360-1640), molybdenum is .091 (norm > is .011-.063), lithium is .081 (norm .003-.039).
