Guest guest
Have you considered doing any hyperbaric oxygen therapy? My son has the same diagnosis and it's really helping him? Subject: New to the group, could use a little adviceTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Sunday, January 10, 2010, 10:01 PM Ok, so I have been attempting biomedical tx on my son (3.5 yrs old, pdd nos) since August09 on my own and have slowly learned more and more of what to do. I am on a DAN waiting list and trying desparately to make progress on my own so we don't lose valuable time.So I will try to sum up where we are because I know in order to give me some help you need to know:GF/CF since Oct 09 removed peanuts which were off the charts, egg whites, garlic, and sunflower oil as per IgG sensitivity resultsImprovements: sleeping through the night!! increased appetiteHe is nonverbal, chatters all day but it is completely unintelligible. Mostly a lot of echolaic as far as I can tell. He has about ten words, though he has started to follow simple commands and respond to his name since august.Used many rotations of probiotics, uva ursi, caprylic acid, GSE for yeast which was found to be very highUse OLE and sambuccus for antiviralmulti vitamin, zinc 50mg per day, calcium/b3, vitamin c/mag, b-complexstarted him on pancreatin digestive enzymes and noticed that a dose of benedryl for a cold had a profound effect on him for the first time ever. I think this means he is actually absorbing things he eats now.I started him on no fenol enzymes because he seems to show all the classic behaviors of fenol reaction though he did not have any high numbers for any fenol foods on the sensitivity results. His hyperactivity has dramatically reduced. He did test high in metals, though not lead or mercury and did not meet any of the counting methods for possibly mercury toxicity but is high in arsenic, cadmium, bismuth, titanium, antimony.**Any help you can give me with chelation woul be great! We are on round 2 using ALA only. (low dose every three hours for three days/nights) I gave him 6mg on round one and saw few side effects except a little cranky and not really any major gains. I increased his dosage to 8 mg for this dose and saw no more side effects except a little cranky. No increased behaviors or regression.Should I increase it some more? I can go up to 16 mg which would be 1/3mg per pound of body weight.**Can he be sensitive to fenols and luteins even though he did not test sensitive to any of these foods on the IgG test?thanks in advance for any advice! ~Jayme
