Hi ,

Our career ladders are based on advanced proficiencies/certifications. For the

PTA/COTA's if they obtain advanced proficiency from the APTA or AOTA they will

advance one grade level, which in turn means a higher level of pay. If the

PT/OT's have a special certification e.g. hand therapy certification, manual

therapy certification, they may also advance one pay level.

Subject: career ladder

At our hospital system we have just two categories for staff physical therapist

I & II (basically dictated by years of service), do any of you have different

career ladders/categories, and what is the criteria at each level? Are incentive

raises given with different certifications/advanced degrees? Thanks all!
