Guest guest
I can't remember where I read it, but I know I read it somewhere... I think you can go up to 100mg of Zinc before it becomes a problem... So, if I was where you are -- I might try that. laura > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What > > am I doing wrong? We have done the following: > > > > > > > SonRise > > > > > > > Neurofeed back > > > > > > > Chelated > > > > > > > Some HBOT > > > > > > > Magna Pro > > > > > > > AIT > > > > > > > Stem Cells > > > > > > > He is currently on: > > > > > > > Probiotics > > > > > > > Omega 3-6-9 > > > > > > > EPA/DHA > > > > > > > Multi Vitamin > > > > > > > Colloidal Silver > > > > > > > I read about other children speaking after having lost their > > speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing > > enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother. > > > > > > > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my > > little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! > > PLEASE! > > > > > > > Thank you~ > > > > > > > Nina > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > Toni > > ------ > Mind like a steel trap... > Rusty and illegal in 37 states. >

Guest guest
Hey , That is disheartening to hear. However, in my journal, I had noted that Jimmy did consume less for about a week. The one thing that I did notice 2 weeks later was he could turn the water on himself to brush his teeth. (weird observation, I know.) -- That being said, he had a growth spurt. As I measured him. Within 4 months, he had grown over 2 inches. (Probably within a week! -- but that was the last time I had measured him.) -- If I remember correctly, eating changes during that time around, before and after. I also noted he slept a great deal. Also, during " hot " seasons, he drinks more, and eats less. I also noticed that his tastes changed. He is trying more things too. So when I was eating a salad, and he was interested, I let him try it. He likes his eggs with onions, garlic and tabasco sauce now. (He used to eat them with just salt.) He also likes them with scallions and ham. The book " Special Needs Kids Eat Right " by Judy Converse -- has a calculation for caloric intake. (I will find my book and relay it to you, something tells me I let someone borrow it) So during that time, I noted what he was eating and took a crack at guessing his caloric intake, and then I changed the food to get him high calorie without a lot of actual food (or nutritionally dense foods). He is also my carb kid. He is always looking for energy foods. So, if your child is doing the same, food combining works well. So, if you give " rice pasta " -- make sure you offer it with a protein, as the protein slows down the release of glucose (for energy) into the blood stream. Jimmy eats a lot of egg whites -- and it's a complete protein (and all proteins are measured against it)...and so when he wasn't eating meat and eating egg whites a lot, I wasn't as worried about the protein part. However, he is eating red meat and chicken now. Jimmy was always in the 25th percentile for height and weight, and now he is more in the 75th. But his diet is GREAT. And he is growing. Which for a 3 yr old, is really important. After reading her book (Judy Converse's) -- I found that additional insight really helped me pick out things to try to help get Jimmy on a better and more sound diet -- and when things weren't going right, I had a book to consult. I got mine for free from my DAN, but I was so impressed with it, that I got copies for my two sisters and sister in law -- it was like $5. at Amazon. I just looked it up it's $6.38 free shipping if you have prime. Another thing I would also consider (talk to your DAN about) -- is CoQ10, and L-Carnitine. My brother (who is also on Zinc Monomethionine) ate like a bird, and recently, I started supplementing with a combo of CoQ10 and L-Carnitine (MRM Brand, not a great supplement in terms of ingredients) (about a month now) -- and his appetite has picked up tremendously. We had tried separate supplements, without the kind of progress we are currently getting. He was losing weight, but he was losing muscle (he's 25), but once I started supplementing, he started eating more, and his legs look lean and not as fatty as before. I hope I have thrown out a few ideas to consider during this time. A journal helps a lot (pain in the butt to keep, but definitely worth the work as I was able to pinpoint issues over time.) It's worrisome when your child isn't eating, I've been there, I know. But hang in, and note your observations when he eats -- as it will help you decipher what is going on. I will try to find that calc for you -- as it served me tremendously. laura > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What > > > > am I doing wrong? We have done the following: > > > > > > > > > SonRise > > > > > > > > > Neurofeed back > > > > > > > > > Chelated > > > > > > > > > Some HBOT > > > > > > > > > Magna Pro > > > > > > > > > AIT > > > > > > > > > Stem Cells > > > > > > > > > He is currently on: > > > > > > > > > Probiotics > > > > > > > > > Omega 3-6-9 > > > > > > > > > EPA/DHA > > > > > > > > > Multi Vitamin > > > > > > > > > Colloidal Silver > > > > > > > > > I read about other children speaking after having lost their > > > > speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing > > > > enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother. > > > > > > > > > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my > > > > little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! > > > > PLEASE! > > > > > > > > > Thank you~ > > > > > > > > > Nina > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > > > Toni > > > > > > ------ > > > Mind like a steel trap... > > > Rusty and illegal in 37 states. > > > > > >
