The only choice I know of for cysteine is great smokies. You need the

comprehensive detoxification profile sampling kit, and you send in the

plasma tube. . . .. .

to the best of my knowledge they do not have any test that includes

plasma cysteine. I checked a little while ago --- like --um--

maybe a month ago? No help here, for now.

You can also (if you want) get JUST plasma cysteine done by

GSDL. I did this. I think it was about $50 (a year or

two ago?)

Do you know what the prep for these test are? (E.g., fasting, taking

tylenol, etc.)

for plasma cysteine, (I did GSDL), it was a fasting test, I

think 8 hours fasting. I did the blood draw in the morning.

Nothing to take. I'm not sure for the other one.

For the Comprehensive Detoxification Profile Test you need to do more

things... You will have to take some coffee pills and collect saliva during

the day, then in the evening you have to take Tylenol and Aspirin and collect

urine the next morning. Then you go to the doctor, same morning (fasting) and

they'll collect some blood and you're done.

yes. Or other licensed health practitioner. Check with the

lab and/or the practitioner as to whether they can order tests.
