Guest guest
Alayna, Here's an old quote of Val's that should answer your question: " The switch from Armoru is easy. JUSt stop it one day and thenext you strt with JUST the amount of T3 that was in your old Armoru dose. DSo if on 3 grains that woudl be 3 X 9mcg or 27mcg would be th starting dose, then you raise the T3 every 5-7 days by symtopkis. As the T4 leaves oyur body you will feel a bti more hypo and theyn raise ythe T3 by 5-12.5mcg depending on the size of your pills and your adrneal tolerance. Usually i liek to see peoe on abotu 75mcg by the 6-8 week mark, thne you cna use pulse and temps to optimize it. Guest guest
Thanks Rainbow. But when do I take it? Same as Nature-throid? Can I take this all at once? Do I need to try to cut the pill smaller and take it more than once per day? So for me it would be 1/2 of my 25mg. pill. So I would take the 12.5mg. for 5-7 days and then add another 12.5? How far apart should the dosing be? Thanks for your help. Alayna > > as I am on 1-1/2 grains of Nature-throid. Also on 30 mg. HC. When should I take it and can I take it with my HC? > > Thanks! Guest guest
T3-only meds need to be taken more often than NT. 3-4 doses spread out over the day is what I've heard recommended. Personally, I can't sleep if I take a dose at bedtime, so I take 3 doses (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Feel free to experiment to see if a bedtime dose works for you though. The Cynomel pills are relatively soft, so you can break them in half with your fingers, and then into quarters with your fingernails. Since you're starting on such a low dose, and you can't break them smaller than quarters, I'd probably take one quarter at breakfast and the second at dinner. Then when you start increasing, you can add a dose at lunch and possibly bedtime. Some people can increase by 12.5mcg at a time, but my body couldn't handle that. I had to increase by 6.25mcg (a quarter pill) at a time. Keep a close eye on your pulse, temps and symptoms to see what will work for you. Guest guest
Do you take the T3 with food or without? Sounds like with if it's with breakfast and lunch. Also, can you take it along with your HC? I think Val said taking HC and Nature-throid were fine together. Just want to get everything squared away. Thanks for being there guys! Guest guest
Food does not seem to interfere with T3 absorbtion as it does with NT so with or withgout food is fine, you can also take ti with or wihtout HC. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
