Gluten has never came back as an allergy on any test but I figured why not. He's also soy free, corn free, egg free (all allergies) plus free of any of his sensitivites. He has yeast and bacteria we are fighting right now. As far as yeast he has no sugar in his diet either. He does drink Rice Dream and I know it's made with a barley enzyme (but the company says it's taken out after the process) and it has 10g of sugar. I decided to just give him straight coconut milk as of yesterday though cause I think he might be getting yeast flair up possibly from the sugar and since Rice Dream can not be guaranteed completly gf, i don't even know why I allowed him on it this long. His nutrionist wants to maybe try him on the scd diet. His diet does mostly consist of rice and potatos. I know a little about the SCD but not that much to be honest. I have been looking on the site for it and got redirected to the peacanbread. com site but if anyone can help me with this, any information would be greatly appreciated. I know it gets into supplements and everything with the legal/illegal list also... and the yogurt which I read is one of the main things with this diet seems to be made just with cows milk... still looking into it myself but I would love feed back.. HELP... on a side note there has been improvments with him since the diet started along with therapy and supplements. I just feel that he's in a plateu right now and I keep getting a nagging feeling it's something in the diet... Guest guest
We do SCD. Before starting, read 'Breaking the Viscous Cycle," by Elaine Gotschell. Then sign up for the pecan bread message board, and then go to the pecan bread website. Read all you can about the diet first, then give it a try... p.s. We do it w/o the dairy..To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 11:56:18 AMSubject: SCD Help Hi Everyone, My son is 22 months old and he's been cf since 10 months (milk allergy) I decided to have him gf since about 13 months. Guest guest
Yes, we've always done it dairy free. Our son cannot have coconut, so we do it w/o that, too.Yes, we ONLY use SCD legal supps. If I cannot find SCD legal supps. online, I have them compounded through our Pharmacy (Hopewell in NJ.) I look at EVERY single ingredient in the supps. To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, May 6, 2010 9:31:38 PMSubject: Re: SCD Help yes you can do it milk free and in the beginning they recommend it that way till the gut is better SCD Help Hi Everyone, My son is 22 months old and he's been cf since 10 months (milk allergy) I decided to have him gf since about 13 months.
