Guest guest
Hello All, I'm sure this has been discussed recently, but I just signed back onto PTManager. We are having a lot of trouble with patients not being able to afford their copay. Our referrals have been up this month, but then either the patient calls and cancels or comes once and decides they cannot afford their copay even after we offer a payment plan. Not so much with patients with $10-$20 copay, but above $25 as high as $40/visit. We're seeing more and more that expensive. Could someone lead me where to go to come up with a financial hardship application, or what determines if a patient can have their copay reduced or waived? What are the legalities? Is there a standard form that needs filled out? Thank you for your help. A. , CPC Billing Admin lin Physical Therapy
