If I'm interpreting a statement in the article/link Dan posted concerning

the " Solo V2 " meter correctly, please take note:

According to Mendoza (sorry if not spelled correctly), who reviewed

the meter in the link Dan provided, the Solo V2 is not an updated meter as

the " V2 " seems to imply. Here's a quote from in the article/review:

" I had incorrectly assumed that V2 in the name Solo V2 stood for version 2.

But tells me that this is the company’s first blood glucose meter and

V2 stands for vision and voice. "

Odd, how this V2 seemed to suddenly appear. Hmmm. I tested the Solo meter

when Grey first came on the blind-diabetics list, and I promptly

pointed out to some deficiencies. He even recognized them. For

example, the Solo meter I tested had no repeat function, which the Prodigy

Voice does. I haven't looked back through my review and won't at this time,

but that is one glaring missing function that I remember clearly. There are

other important ones, and if anyone is interested, please let me know, and

I'll dig out the review I sent Grey.

So, Grey, please, chime in here. As moderator, I know who subscribes,

and who unsubscribes, and has not unsubscribed. I know he's out there.

Please, help me, and others, understand this apparent anomaly.

Oh, as far as the other meter Manndosa referred to as a 3rd talking

meter (the Prodigy Voice And Solo V2 being the other 2), called the " FORA

V10 (http://www.foracare.com/usa/products-v10.html), from what I can tell,

it is no different than most of the other meters that incorporate only a

small amount of speech functionality.
