As you may know I met with my diabetes educator yesterday and she gave me the

results of my c-peptide test. As you may know this test is to check the

functioning of your pancreas to see if it produces insulin with its beta cells.

Amy said my results indicated I was a type 1 diabetic, which basically means I

do not have any insulin producing beta cells. I find this hard to believe,

since when I did have low sugar reactions, I always had a warning of the low

glucose level, and I am to understand that type1 diabetics do not have a warning

of a low glucose level. Is this true or not.

I do know that a year ago I got a low glucose warning at something lower than a

glr of 70, but recently I would get a low reacdtion at a glr of 81 or even an 82

glr. Do the type1's on this list serve get a low glucose reaction in their body

or not. Let us know, because it is important. I have been told that often the

type 1 diabetic does not have a warning. Is this true for you?
