Guest guest
Is your son a gut kid? Chronic diahrea or constipation? Antibiotics, Hbot, diet, and ldm-100 worked well for us. We also did biofilm protocol. My son is a total gut kid. Every time we find something to help his gut, we get more language. Trying to get rid of existing chronic infection now without antibiotics. Tricky! We are working on immune system as well. Have you done a hair analysis? That gives you mineral ratios, which helps alot. Getting those balanced out is important. My son has low thyroid funtion and stressed adrenals as do most of our kids. I have recently been supporting those and it is helping. Good luck to you! Pray about it! God will help you find recovery. Guest guest
After recent DAN conference, the following things to concentrate are: the gut, immune system, reducing toxins from your child's body. The gut is the key. If you giving supplements but the gut is inflammed, then he will not be absorbing the supplement. Body Ecology philosophy of fermented foods, drinks, bone broth are very essential. Even if you don't think your child is a gut kid, there's a good chance he may. Immune system is related to the gut. Our kids tend to have more Th2 in vs TH1 (T cells that fight infection.). This requires balance. Immune modulator such as Low Dose Naltroxene has been very effective. This is the one I use. I also use antifungals to fight off yeast. Reducing toxins - look at everything around your house and go green. Especially pots, pans, laundry etc... SOmeone told me that dryer sheets have " antimony " which I did not know. So I switch to dryer balls. Then do some detox products or chelator with DAN doc's guidance. Supplements - The ones you listed are good. You may want to check B-complex which is a great intervention for us. Also Cytoflora got my son to speak (Check it out www.Ourkidsasd.com). If you know your son's genetics such as MTHFR mutations and other things that can help guide you also to what other supplements he can benefit. My son is also 7 yrs old and he's speech is coming along especially since we started cytoflora. I think what's also important is that he has functional communication (with the use of device or sign). Hope this helps. Guest guest
Nina, (sorry for the long post, I sometimes get a little carried away!) Rule #1, Do not call yourself a " bad mother, " there are plenty of people who will willingly take it upon themselves to do it for you... -- Anyone who goes thru any and these therapies have done so out of love and wanting to recover their child. You also put your money where your mouth is...none of these therapies are " cheap. " My son went non-verbal on us at the age of 2, and at 2.5, I found a website that suggested taking wheat and milk out of his diet. Which is when I found Stan Kurtz, which led me to this board. I don't remember where I saw it, but someone had posted an article (now I really wish I had it) that was from a doctor, that said basically if you remember the first thing that went wrong -- and what went wrong, focus on that. For me, it was my son was yellow from jaundice, and stayed that way for a long time (I want to say it was about 2 weeks) -- it was at birth. So, jaundice is a liver deficiency, so I focused on that. Other articles (and lots of posts) have also suggested working on the liver first and foremost - because it's the largest gland in your body and cleanses the blood. (Which makes sense to me) -- so if your liver isn't functioning optimally, then you aren't going to get the results, but adding burden to an already burdened organ. My point being, if your liver isn't working right or well, it's not going to get you where you want to be. Think of a clogged air filter -- it doesn't let much air through, and when it does, the air is not as clean as it should be. Or the lint trap on the dryer...if it's full of lint, that load of towels takes FOREVER to dry. (I love my husband, but really, how MANY times do I have to say -- " clean the damn lint trap " -- before I want to stab myself in the neck with a pen. So, I focused on diet. Lightening the toxic load. This will obviously help the liver, as it will have less to do, and therefore, will be able to focus on detox. IGg helps in this area, as it helps determine what foods your particular body is having issues with. For us, after we removed milk/casein/wheat/gluten -- my son's tantrums and head banging went completely away within 4 days. I didn't do anything new for another 8 weeks (as I was trying to figure everything out, and was failing miserably) -- and then I added one new thing a week. (In terms of supplements) -- but during the diet phase, I brought juicing to help our son's liver. I juice everyday. When my son was a lousy eater, it was a good way to get veggies in his diet. It took about 7 months to get his diet better (I mean - A LOT better, which I attribute to the addition of Zinc -- which by the way, deficiency in Zinc leads to liver disease - google it, it's interesting. When the liver isn't working right, you get a disease of the very organ you need to get better.) Juicing. I use Pineapple (for digestion), ginger (anti-inflammatory), dandelion greens (liver), Cilantro (detox), Parsley (detox) -- those three have chlorophyll which is the detoxifying agent -- lemon (for detox and liver -- lemon is great first thing in the morning before you drink anything else, 8oz of water w/juice of 1/2 lemon) -- google it. There are a lot of ideas out there...(I do a lot of other things, but this is a good start) And the one thing I see (in common) over and over and over with " successes " on this board, is when the liver was supported well (with both diet and supplements) along with other therapies, progress was always within reach. Some of the favorites for liver is the Body Ecology Diet (which I have yet to read, but have gotten snippets here and there, and it looks really good, I am sure, that there are lots of folks on here who have read it and can give you tips to start). As well as SCD, and Feingold. Ann Louise Gittleman - has a protocol I used to start (I got it from her book, but this article outlines it well) -- we do this everyday, not just 7 days -- I work it in on daily basis. http://www.experiencelifemag.com/issues/october-2009/health-wellness/fast-track-\ liver-detox.html My son, Jimmy went from being non-verbal to talking in a very short period of time. (We've been doing this for about 10 months now, and he went from non-verbal to almost a 3 year old speech, so it's in there, you just have to figure how to get it out!) That being said, he never received the MMR shot, I feel like I " caught " a lot of things early, and while I feel that his toxic load was a lot for him, the diet did 50% of the work, the supplements and consistent nature of dosing and meds did the other 40% of the work (I'm not there yet, but very, very close.) -- But I focus on his liver EVERYDAY. He is working on his 'grammar' now, but it's coming fast. (we are finishing a diflucan/flagyl round) Consistent BM's, Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root, Juicing (w/good liver loving foods), diet, liver loving foods, zinc, drinking good water (1/2 body weight in oz. -- so a 70 lb kid = 35 oz of water (not juice) a day.), cod liver oil, mb12, a bio-available multi vitamin, good probiotics (there are a variety), fermented foods (we are avid kim-chi eaters here.) -- is a daily, consistent item that will assist the therapies you have done. (HBOT, Chelation, etc.) I have a 25 year old brother who is also doing really well, but I have hit a plateau recently (very frustrating) -- so I added NAC, doubled his Vitamin C intake and added MMS and oxytocin -- and we are progressing again (at a good rate!)..I do not think if the basics were in place, I would get the results I am getting. Before I added these items he was at a second grade level education, in two months (of intense working w/him) he's now at the end of 3rd grade, and progressing. When our Mom died, he was in the 4th grade. We have been at this for 10 months. So I feel like I have 2 months to get him where my Mom had him 13 years ago. However, there are LOTS of things he is doing that he wasn't even doing when my Mom was alive. So I do feel a little sense of accomplishment in this area. (Eye contact, being able to go out in the sun without pain, telling time, understanding money are a few - and he can watch TV like a normal person (not out of corner of his eyes, and for a long period of time)). So, I don't think it's something you are doing " wrong " -- you might haven't found the " right " order. You have to crawl before you can run. So put on your motivation music or your " poor me " music --my personal favorite is " whitesnake's -- Here I go again on my own " -- I've played it so much lately that I caught my husband singing it! ..and I'm an 80's lover, without the big hair - LOL! Hang in there, I think a few people have said it best here -- it's a marathon, not a sprint (as you know all too well!)...and let us know what you decide to do, as we all benefit from your experience. I know that I have. Hugs... laura > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What am I doing wrong? We have done the following: > SonRise > Neurofeed back > Chelated > Some HBOT > Magna Pro > AIT > Stem Cells > He is currently on: > Probiotics > Omega 3-6-9 > EPA/DHA > Multi Vitamin > Colloidal Silver > I read about other children speaking after having lost their speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother. > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE! > Thank you~ > Nina > > > > >  > > > > > >  >

Guest guest
YES, YES, YES! I forgot to mention that in my post (thanks Marie) We also went " green " around our house, and switched pots and pans, air filters (Alen Aire), dryer balls, " free and clear " detergents, vinegar and peroxide solutions, etc. over time...I also believe this helped immensely... Exercise. Sounds stupid, but I make my kids get at least 2 hours a day of good exercise (running, jumping, swimming, etc.) -- We are swimming addicts. We get the Vitamin D (which my son was very low in!), and the great exercise. Don't forget epsom salt baths. Great detoxer. Also a liver helper! Coconut Oil for cooking. Coconut is a wonderful anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. I just used it on my daughters butt due to a severe rash (which I still don't understand what caused it) -- but it took the " red " sting out, and she is acting normal again. (that and activated charcoal) -- love this board! Bone broth (I make my own) -- also great advice -- I put it in our " gravies " -- and I use gelatin (no flavor, Knox) and make my own w/juicer juice and good (glass jar) juices - jello (kids love it). (I make a fun fruit/ice-cream (coconut ice cream) dessert that I bribe my children with!) I also recently ordered Cytoflora, and hoping for great results as well. I have not looked into LDN -- but I've seen it so much here, I am going to look into it. Again Marie -- GREAT ADVICE - thanks!! laura > > > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What am I doing wrong? We have done the following: > > SonRise > > Neurofeed back > > Chelated > > Some HBOT > > Magna Pro > > AIT > > Stem Cells > > He is currently on: > > Probiotics > > Omega 3-6-9 > > EPA/DHA > > Multi Vitamin > > Colloidal Silver > > I read about other children speaking after having lost their speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother. > > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE! > > Thank you~ > > Nina > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > >

Guest guest
phoschol is the brand name for phosphatidylcholine (pc). It's helps to remyelinate nerve cells, so the connections are better. I believe my daughter was damaged by the hepatitis b vaccine at birth and that was what affected her auditory processing. Since she's been on it she quit wearing her hearing aides and seems to hear fine, plus i've been getting more expressive language not as much " scripting " . good luck! > > > > > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What am I doing wrong? We have done the following: > > > SonRise > > > Neurofeed back > > > Chelated > > > Some HBOT > > > Magna Pro > > > AIT > > > Stem Cells > > > He is currently on: > > > Probiotics > > > Omega 3-6-9 > > > EPA/DHA > > > Multi Vitamin > > > Colloidal Silver > > > I read about other children speaking after having lost their speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother. > > > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE! > > > Thank you~ > > > Nina > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > >

Guest guest
LDN was part of our sons recovery, it helped his immune system to finally be able to kick yeast, increase in lang, social skills, play skills, and we lost 29 allergies now with it we can tell days we have forgotten it and oddly now his teachers can as well Re: Still non-verbal, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Also a liver helper!Coconut Oil for cooking. Coconut is a wonderful anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-fungal. I just used it on my daughters butt due to a severe rash (which I still don't understand what caused it) -- but it took the "red" sting out, and she is acting normal again. (that and activated charcoal) -- love this board!Bone broth (I make my own) -- also great advice -- I put it in our "gravies" -- and I use gelatin (no flavor, Knox) and make my own w/juicer juice and good (glass jar) juices - jello (kids love it). (I make a fun fruit/ice-cream (coconut ice cream) dessert that I bribe my children with!)I also recently ordered Cytoflora, and hoping for great results as well. I have not looked into LDN -- but I've seen it so much here, I am going to look into it. Again Marie -- GREAT ADVICE - thanks!! laura > >> > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What am I doing wrong? We have done the following:> > SonRise> > Neurofeed back> > Chelated> > Some HBOT> > Magna Pro> > AIT> > Stem Cells> > He is currently on:> > Probiotics> > Omega 3-6-9> > EPA/DHA> > Multi Vitamin> > Colloidal Silver> > I read about other children speaking after having lost their speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother.> > Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE!> > Thank you~> > Nina> > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > >  > >>
Guest guest
Awesome (loss of allergies) -- my brother wants some of his foods back -- (and I am the food nazi) we go to the DAN this week...I will ask about it...we are hoping that his 53 allergies will have been reduced to half coming in July (we tested last July). So anything to increase our chances, we are IN! Okay -- officially going to ask!! Guest guest
sorry to chime in, but i often forget about the liver support since i focus on speech so much. thanks for the post and the ideas! sharon To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 9:44:33 AMSubject: Re: Still non-verbal, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Nina, (sorry for the long post, I sometimes get a little carried away!)Rule #1, Do not call yourself a "bad mother," there are plenty of people who will willingly take it upon themselves to do it for you... -- Anyone who goes thru any and these therapies have done so out of love and wanting to recover their child. You also put your money where your mouth is...none of these therapies are "cheap." My son went non-verbal on us at the age of 2, and at 2.5, I found a website that suggested taking wheat and milk out of his diet. (I love my husband, but really, how MANY times do I have to say -- "clean the damn lint trap" -- before I want to stab myself in the neck with a pen. :)So, I focused on diet. Lightening the toxic load. This will obviously help the liver, as it will have less to do, and therefore, will be able to focus on detox. IGg helps in this area, as it helps determine what foods your particular body is having issues with. For us, after we removed milk/casein/ wheat/gluten -- my son's tantrums and head banging went completely away within 4 days. When the liver isn't working right, you get a disease of the very organ you need to get better.)Juicing. I use Pineapple (for digestion), ginger (anti-inflammatory) , dandelion greens (liver), Cilantro (detox), Parsley (detox) -- those three have chlorophyll which is the detoxifying agent -- lemon (for detox and liver -- lemon is great first thing in the morning before you drink anything else, 8oz of water w/juice of 1/2 lemon) -- google it. There are a lot of ideas out there...(I do a lot of other things, but this is a good start)And the one thing I see (in common) over and over and over with "successes" on this board, is when the liver was supported well (with both diet and supplements) along with other therapies, progress was always within reach. Some of the favorites for liver is the Body Ecology Diet (which I have yet to read, but have gotten snippets here and there, and it looks really good, I am sure, that there are lots of folks on here who have read it and can give you tips to start). As well as SCD, and Feingold.Ann Louise Gittleman - has a protocol I used to start (I got it from her book, but this article outlines it well) -- we do this everyday, not just 7 days -- I work it in on daily basis. http://www.experien celifemag. com/issues/ october-2009/ health-wellness/ fast-track- liver-detox. htmlMy son, Jimmy went from being non-verbal to talking in a very short period of time. (We've been doing this for about 10 months now, and he went from non-verbal to almost a 3 year old speech, so it's in there, you just have to figure how to get it out!) That being said, he never received the MMR shot, I feel like I "caught" a lot of things early, and while I feel that his toxic load was a lot for him, the diet did 50% of the work, the supplements and consistent nature of dosing and meds did the other 40% of the work (I'm not there yet, but very, very close.) -- But I focus on his liver EVERYDAY. He is working on his 'grammar' now, but it's coming fast. (we are finishing a diflucan/flagyl round)Consistent BM's, Milk Thistle, Dandelion Root, Juicing (w/good liver loving foods), diet, liver loving foods, zinc, drinking good water (1/2 body weight in oz. (HBOT, Chelation, etc.)I have a 25 year old brother who is also doing really well, but I have hit a plateau recently (very frustrating) -- so I added NAC, doubled his Vitamin C intake and added MMS and oxytocin -- and we are progressing again (at a good rate!)..I do not think if the basics were in place, I would get the results I am getting. (Eye contact, being able to go out in the sun without pain, telling time, understanding money are a few - and he can watch TV like a normal person (not out of corner of his eyes, and for a long period of time)).So, I don't think it's something you are doing "wrong" -- you might haven't found the "right" order. You have to crawl before you can run. So put on your motivation music or your "poor me" music --my personal favorite is "whitesnake' s -- Here I go again on my own" -- I've played it so much lately that I caught my husband singing it! ..and I'm an 80's lover, without the big hair - LOL! Hang in there, I think a few people have said it best here -- it's a marathon, not a sprint (as you know all too well!)...and let us know what you decide to do, as we all benefit from your experience. I know that I have. Hugs... laura >> My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much. What am I doing wrong? We have done the following:> SonRise> Neurofeed back> Chelated> Some HBOT> Magna Pro> AIT> Stem Cells> He is currently on:> Probiotics> Omega 3-6-9> EPA/DHA> Multi Vitamin> Colloidal Silver> I read about other children speaking after having lost their speech it brings me such hope. Am I missing something? Am I not doing enough? I HATE THIS I feel like such a bad mother.> Do any of you have thoughts on what I should try or do for my little one. We long to hear his voice again. PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE!> Thank you~> Nina> > > > >  > > > > > >  >

Guest guest
LDN also brought our son over the finish line. Once we cleared his yeast, Christel (thank you!) suggested LDN. Guest guest
- would you be willing to share some of your juicing recipes (the most palatable ones:)!)? My son is very picky - I bought a juicer and have been unsuccessful in getting him to try anything. Also - what do you flavor the gelatin with? thanks > > > > > > My little guy is 7 & still non-verbal it kills me so much.
