Thanks for the nametag offer. Great idea. It'll be like a family reunion.

It really is like a family reunion. Several weeks ago when I first got to

know Beth S, we started talking on the phone after we realized we were both

in Durham. It was like talking to an old friend. As I was leaving work to

go see Beth in the hospital, I told one of my colleagues that I was visiting

my friend who had just had surgery. Then I realized that we had never

actually seen each other in person. But it was so great, because when I saw

her, it was as if we had been friends forever. I must have stayed for a good

hour and didn't want to leave then. Now my family has started going to

Beth's church.

I'm really excited about seeing everybody on Saturday. It means so much to

see your name and be able to visualize a face to go with it.

Hey I thought the same thing about my insurance company. " We are sending you

a letter " ..... I was furious then I spoke to Kathy and she told me that was

usually good news... She restored my faith.... It was my approval letter.

I will joyfully be at the meeting this Saturday, the 15th, possibly

accompanied by my dh. This will be my second pre-op meeting. I am so

excited to be meeting all these delightful people (and some for the second

time)!

Kathy ...It's a shame all of us who live nearby can't come and be

your cheerleading squad tomorrow! That way, if they even thought about

denying you, seeing all these large angry people would stop them in their

tracks! I know where ville is and have even passed the Kaiser office

(and thought of you when I did!). Do they have an email address? Maybe we

could send in protests if they balk...even a fax #???

I called my ins co today and was told they received (on their system, that

is) the requested paperwork from my DR and were going ahead with the

review....yeah yeah, they REALLY got my DRs stuff three weeks ago, and now I

have to wait another two weeks. Plus, they said they were sending me some

sort of " delay " letter that would detail what was going on. Fun Fun Fun!

Careful of their delay letter - don't let them jerk you around. If they

are only allowed a certain number of days to reply (look in your EOC)

then make them adhere to it - delay letter or not. If they go over

their time limit, file a formal complaint with the NC Insurance Dept. -

that will light a fire under their butts!!!!
