The three software programs built primarily for the SNF environment are

Giftwrap, Casamba and RNet. All three have their strengths. Contact the

companies and ask for a demonstration. You will find which meets your needs.

Decide what you want from the program first. If you are just looking to bill for

services, you can easily design something simple on Excel. If you want to track

information, do payroll, do accounting, track outcomes, export directly into the

SNF's billing software, or electronic medical record, each of these can do some

or all of this.

Determine the value of what doing tasks electronically are. These can be

expensive but may save you time and enhance services. Some charge a licensing

fee or others a monthly subscription fee. Look also at the cost of support. In

some cases it is included. Some packages charge more for support if you exceed a

certain limit.

I believe Casamba is a good therpay billing software with SNF.  I know a

nursing home whose practice uses this with Keane.
