We are also dealing with ADHD and have been on Fiengold Diet for a number of years – extremely helpful. Biomed as well but, have needed to go beyond this and have allergy testing done as well as other tests. Corn is a very big problem for my child as well as some other foods that are not typically taken out on the Feingold diet. She also has a fructose malabsorption issue which was discovered recently. For the next 4-5 weeks she is eating no fruit.

The difference with these adjustments as well as a good night’s sleep is amazing.

We use melatonin and epsom salt baths to calm and settle at night as this is difficult for her to do on her own. We have also done sensory work with an OT who specializes in working with children who have ASD, ADHD and or sensory integration issues.

We too have done some work with a chiropractor.

When she has eaten something she should not it is very evident. If needed we give her benadryl and it seems to help. This is a last resort and only used when absolutely necessary.

Good Luck.

Us. We have 2 in biomed -- one pdd and one ADD.

They have some of the same issues, some different.

Consider homeopathy and neurofeedback as well for the ADD child depending on what that child's issues are.

> I know this group is for autism, but yesterday my 9 year old was diagnosed with ADHD/but more ADD. My 2 year old has autism and is doing great on biomedical treatments. My DAN prescribed pills for my 9 year olds ADHD, when I thought we were going to do the whole supplements thing and testing. I was shocked, and am having a very difficult time dealing with the fact meds will be apart of daily life. Is their anyone on here that has a child with ADHD also and is going the biomedical way instead? I have to make sure I am doing everything I can for my child. Is this the only answer??? Please help me!!!!!!!
