OMGosh. Both died? What the heck happened? I'm so sorry to hear of Rob's Father. Of course you'll be in our prayers. Hugs, Challis Akiba wrote: Congrats!!! Seems a few of the group are

getting good news of late! Sadly, we are not among them. Rob's PC, AND the backup PC, died. The van died, needed $350 to fix, leaving us broke, and Now, Rob's family is begging him to go to Fla because his dad has cancer and they need Rob to go help get the place wheelchair ready (build ramps etc) (and deal with all the stuff in the garage, not sure what that has to do with Da going home)(he is in a nursing home right now)(Da I mean not Rob) and we have NO $ to get him down there... This place is close to Tom's job and just that alone will cut his driving time in half and also our gas usage. Tom would prefere to live in the country and not in an apartment. Personally, I would too, but right now it's more important that we save some money so we can get a place of our own. We will only be obligated to stay at the apartment untill Aug. 15 of next year. I think we should spend that time saving our money. And

besides, if we have to wait to see if anyone else responds to our ad, we may end up hurting ourselves. We may end up having to stay here even longer. I'm not williing to do that. Challis~

I just got off the phone with my new roomie. Tom and I will be moving in with her on the first of Nov. She is very happy to have us with her, and I'm so happy about getting out of here. This is silly, but I'm looking forward to moving into a home that has real live critters! And I don't mean the 8 legged kind. LOL. She has two cats. and 'Notherkitty, and an American Pit Bull named Missy. Ohhh, she's the most gentle and affectionate doggie. Very well behaved and trained. I'm loving that, because we'll be living in the city and I'll be home alone so much of the time. Gonna have to have protection. My roommate, Christie is 32. An ex Navy police officer. She's a student at a local college studying animal science. She's a big animal advocate and wants to make people aware of what they perceive as "bully dogs". She's very anti-drug...Yeah!! She's a smoker, but smokes outside. Another yeah! And she's very clean. Not quite as orderly as I am, but what the heck, I'll be living mostly in mine and Tom's room anyway. She works two jobs and is a full-time student. It's kind of difficult to be real orderly if you're hardly ever home. Okay...this is a repeat of an email I've already posted. I'm just so excited to be getting out of this dump! Tom wanted me to run another ad in craigslist.org and I didn't do it. I'm moving there whether he wants to or not. There's just sometimes when a person has to say, "enough is enough". He'll get over it. It's like I told him. His lifestyle won't be changing at all. He'll live there just like he lives here. Get up, go to work, come home, take a shower, go to bed. Upon arising, it will just be a repeat of the day before. His real home is his job, and if he were honest about it, he'd have to agree.

Ohhhh. sorry about the email. All of the Yahoo addy's I'll keep. Since it appears that I have two email addys for this group that is currently running, my a1manlady and cop.girl, I'll have the cop.girl addy deleted and keep the a1manlady open. But, I'd like to wait untill the first of the month to do that. I'm really surprised that this one I'm using now is still working since I don't have DSL anymore.

Sorry to go on and on. I'll shut up now.

Love and blessings...Val

Re: I'm back...

Hey Val!

This is great news! When would you be moving?

Is this your only email address now? Should I delete the others I have? What about ont he list? You're still subbed under the old name and address. Do you want that removed from the list(s)?

Hugs,

Challis

Not to mention that I'm always getting bumped and losing whatever I'm working on at the time. In fact, this is the second attempt at getting this message out. I am praying that it doesn't happen again. Tom(dh), and I went to visit a really nice young lady yesterday. She is losing her current roommate and needs someone to sublet her apartment. She and I hit it off right from the start. She's 32, and ex Navy police officer, and a student at NCSU. Obviously not your typical college student. The apartment is a 2 bdrm. 2 bath. Perfect for us as I really hate sharing a bathroom with other people. OMGoodness, I don't know if I told you all before that I LOVE animals, but now I get to be around some. She has 2 cats and a dog. Funny thing...She says she never lets her cats outside, but I didn't smell a cat box the whole time I was there. That to me is a sign of a clean person. And by observing the apartment, I was satisfied that this young lady was as clean as myself. Big plus. Talking with her was like talking to myself. We have so many intrests and quirky ways that are very much the same. Tom pretty much didn't say much while we were there. Of course, he rarely does. A lot of people think he's shy. He's not. He just has a very low self esteem and thinks that everyone is judging him. It's funny though; as soon as he puts on his uniform, he's a completely different person. He suddenly becomes the " authority figure " . Anyway, he told me that he was going to leave this decission up to me. He said if I wanted to move there, then that's what we'll do. I told her that I would give her a call Tue. (tomorrow) about our decission.

Tom woke up this morning and told me he wanted me to place another ad in

craigslist.org to see if we get anymore offers. I'm not going to do it, because I've already made up my mind. We will be moving into the apartment. There's just too many positives that out weigh the negatives, not to mention that we'll be able to save more money. Actually, a lot more money. And besides, if we have to wait to see if anyone else responds to our ad, we may end up hurting ourselves. We may end up having to stay here even longer. I'm not williing to do that. I've allowed him to keep me in this dump for 7 years, all the while my health as plummeted rapidly. I've got to start thinking about my health now, not about playing miss obedient refugee.

Okay, I'll close this now. Good thing I only write mini novels after being gone awhile, huh? This isn't even half of the stuff I want to share with you all, but this is at the top of the list. Once again...Welcome to the group my new newbie friends. May God bless you all abundantly.

Love and blessings...

Val

It really sounds great, Val and I'm so happy for you! :o) I think I have a very old address for you still. TG something? Challis Val Lee wrote: Challis~ I just got off the phone with my new roomie. Tom and I will be moving in with her on the first of Nov. She is very happy to have us with her, and I'm so happy

about getting out of here. It's kind of difficult to be real orderly if you're hardly

ever home. But, I'd like to wait untill the first of the month
