Guest guest
Sue, We also are on Cerner, utilizing forms we created to meet a variety of needs. Has it been your experience that documentation time itself, has decreased since Cerner implementation? That has not been the case for us, although, it has been beneficial in terms of ensuring completeness of documentation of all pertinent topics. We built this piece of documentation on our own, as the start menu PT/OT/ST documentation was not sufficient for an IRF. Our clinical informatics team is attempting to build the pre-admission screen and the Transdisciplinary Assessment, which is not an easy task!! If you like, I can put you in touch with our clinical informatics team. We are running into some problems as we try to build our pre-admission process and could use some guidance. Thanks! Guest guest
Yes, the START content is pretty vague - even for acute care. We've made lots of form modifications even though we're using the RIC content package for IRF and OP rehab. we have the doc tools for pre-admission but are struggling with work flow issues related to patients that are in pre-admission status - they may become patients and they may not. In our current process we assign a bed and treatment team/care providers before the patient is actually dc'd from the acute care bed. we're not sure how to accomplish this in cerner. I'd love to talk with anyone you think might be able to help. Thanks!
