Guest guest
Pat, It's not uncommon to have no appetite. I didn't get hungry for three weeks post-op! It was the strangest feeling! About the pain part, I'm not sure. I was very sore from the gas pains and just worn out in general (which sometimes seemed worse than in pain) for about 5-7 days post-op. Maybe someone else can add their two cents on that one. Hope you're feeling better tomorrow! post-op
Guest guest
Pat-- I didn't have any appetite after surgery either. I don't remember any real pain, but there were times when I felt tired the first few weeks. It will pass as time goes one. After all, you' ve just had major surgery. I''m sorry I missed you at the hospital Thu, but I'm really glad that you went home. You're on your way now. Welcome to the other side. Guest guest
My bruise seems much darker this afternoon. I tried to eat a little vanilla pudding this afternoon and haven't felt well since. Guest guest
Dear Pat, Isn't not feeling hungry a weird feeling? I know what you mean about your bruise being worse....the one around my navel went Technicolor....then faded a bit and looked like one of those tie-dyed shirts......Dumping is much more involved than just feeling unwell. I don't think the pudding hurt anything but I agree that you have to throw out all your old food perceptions and start over, because things really do taste different after surgery.....Has anybody asked Dr. R why that is? Have y'all read an explanation for that anywhere else? Angel Report >> >> >>>From: KMusolino@... >>> >>>Went by the hospital and had a chat with Kim.
