Getting my son to take valtrex

Help! We just got my son's vaclocyclovir compounded into a liquid with

marshmallow flavor, which was the only low phenol flavor available. It

is foul tasting and we could not mix it in rice milk or force it with

a syringe. He is four and we can't seem teach him to swallow pills.

Any advice? I ordered one of those pill swallowing cups so I will see

if that could work and just get it redone as a capsule. or should I

try a different flavor and make a trade-off between phenols and

getting him to take his medicine? Thanks!
