Guest guest
jr, Sounds like your GP will be well educated on CMT by the time you are finished with him! It is refreshing to hear of a supportive doctor who is willing to learn from his patients, not the other way around. As far as the MDA doctor, they are human like everyone else. You can get a really good one or a really frustrating one. Good for you for being willing to try and get the MDA doctor to listen to your message about pain. I don't know why this is such a hard thing to do. Again, common sense tells me that if you are bearing weight on a joint or bones or muscles or tendons that are not in proper physical alignment, it can and will cause pain. Also, if you have nerves that carry messages, including PAIN, to and from the extremeties, then pain could be a message that gets distorted (either too much or too little) in the process. It seems simple to me, but then I'm not a doctor. Hang in there jr! Your message will get across. Ruth >Gretchen, not always. My GP has only seen one other case of CMT, he is >however very receptive and willing to listen and learn. I take him >information I find on the net about every visit. On the other hand my doc >at >the MDA clinic acts as though she knows all about CMT, then she Tel's me >that >CMT does not cause any pain? I asked where she got her info and she told >me >to be quiet and listen. So go figure. I will get to her, just need >another >visit or two. jr > _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
