Guest guest
Our son was diagnosed at 23 months with autism. We suspected he had autism when he was approx 18 months because of the many sings he was showing. We immediately put him on the GFCF diet which improved his behavior and eye contact. Recently he had an organic microbial test which indicated yeast & bateria overgrowth (Candida). Our DAN doctor (who recently became a DAN doctor) reccomended Nystatin 2 times a day for 7 days. Our son's language seemed to improve after taking nystatin but seems to have regressed in the last days (he has been off the medicine for 2 weeks) Since taking this medication he started to repeat the last word he hears. We are interested in trying the combination of Valtrx & Dyflucan. However, we feel our DAN doctor is inexperienced and was not familiar with this antiviral comprehensive treatment. Does anybody know the right dosage for our son based on his weight and age? He is 25 months - 27 pounds. Is the dosage low at first and then increased after the first round? If so, when do you increase the dosage? How often is it reccomended that you test for kidney/liver function? If by chance, anyone knows of a website where we can find the answer to these questions, or has any answers for us it would be eternally appreciated.
