Guest guest
hi all, this is to michele especially since you asked me to pass along any info I got. basically, they told me he needs to eat bigger portions and higher calorie content. so, we will try....she also gave me a sample of a supplement to try in his milk and foods. supposed to have no taste--he won't do instant breakfast etc. did say even if I could slip cream into milk or other foods, add extra oil to his sauce for pasta etc. lots of peanut butter and butter and cream cheese, jelly, high calorie cheese, not 2 %, whole milk--make sure he has a vitamin with zinc and lots of minerals. and if he would eat ice cream or milk shakes--which he won't that would help. so, basically it didn't help alot, but worth a shot. Guest guest
There are Ensure Puddings that you could try. They come in two delicious flavours - Chocolate and Vanilla. They are high in calories and replace a full size meal - instead of eating ordinary food or drinking " yucky " instant breakfast he can have a pudding instead. Just a thought. Sincerely yours; Krista Bach. Guest guest
- The tips you got are the same things I've gotten along the way. Easy to say, harder to do. And seems that you've have to do those things at each at every meal or snack to make a big impact. Whenever I can and remember, I add more fat or cals to Aubrie's foods. But if she's eating with the family, then I have to alter only her portion which is much more difficult. I will continue to do my best to remember and make the effort more often.
