Guest guest
Hi, I have 4 y.o.very sensetive to supl. and phenols. May be it is little different - but still - the same, he get regressed on Virostop (enzime antiviral) it was good progress for 3 mon - then BAM - same regress. It was month ago Now he is recovering - I put him on LOD - it helps, And by the way looking for NAET specialist - as our DAN recomended. My personal opinion - that Antiviral Virostop overstimulated imune system . Did NAET work for your child? Elena Subject: Regression - frustration! To: mb12 valtrex Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 4:34 AM Hey guys,Just wondered if anyone else has the same frustration. Our son 5 with ASD will do well on a particular supplement (the latest one being valtrex and difflucan-we have been on this for 3 months) and seems to be at the point of doing really well (really verbal, great eye contact, hardly any stimming) and then, BAM, he starts to regress, we go through this cycle constantly and I start to wonder if we are ever going to get a point when he just continues to improve instead of regressive behaviours such as flapping, decrease in speech and compliance etc).Has your child been in this cycle and then started to improve and keep improving? Was it any particular protocol/supplement that helped them to the point of 'recovery'?We have tried: MB12 shots, glutathione, valtrex, difflucan, cod liver, L-carnitine, Metagenics probiotic, OLE, NAET and the list goes on!We are dealing with: high levels of antimony, arsenic, mercury, lead, aluminium and Streptococcus overgrowth. At this point we are thinking of trying ALA as our next option but as our son tends to have a strong reaction to supplements we are anxious that this will be suitable for him?thanks for listening, (mum to 5 year old ASD)

Guest guest
Hi Elena, Thanks for your reply, yes my son has an issue with phenols also, his ears go red as soon as he has eaten anything with phenols. NAET did work on some level and I think it has helped him when he may have eaten something he shouldn't. But we went for a holiday to Fiji where he ate pretty much anything as there wasn't much options for food but after a few days he became zoned out, less speech, agressive, so I would say very small amounts of gluten/casein would be okay for him but certainly not a weeks worth! I am so glad that we tried it though, we did one for viruses and my son came out with flu symptoms and a rash all over him so it was definitely doing something. If you have any questions just let me know. kind regards, elizabeth Regression - frustration! To: mb12 valtrex Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 4:34 AM Hey guys,Just wondered if anyone else has the same frustration. Guest guest
I'm not much of a poster as I have asked several times what to do with my increasingly aggressive son. Reviewing another site, I researched oxytocin spray and read about "calming effect" on some autistic children. I think there is also a study going on. Ordered some per DAN doctor through Wellness. Okay- this has been a real WOW for us. Yesterday and today my son came home with school reports that said "super" day instead of how many times he hit and screamed. I realize it is only the 2nd day but so far I'm impressed. Just wanted to share..margie in vaHi ,Thanks for your reply. Just wanted to share..margie in vaOn Jan 13, 2010, at 8:57 PM, elizabeth.hutchisonbigpond wrote:Hi ,Thanks for your reply. Guest guest
I'm glad you found something that worked for you. We tried the oxytocin spray on my 4-yr old for a solid month & didn't notice a difference, but maybe we'll try it again... Guest guest
sounds like strep flares Regression - frustration! Hey guys,Just wondered if anyone else has the same frustration.
Guest guest
If he has strep, he may have pandas which would definitely account for the regressions (at least part of the story). I would talk to the DAN doctor about monitoring/eliminating strep. Big difference when eliminated. > > > > > > > > > From: ehutchison1973 <ehutchison1973@> > > > Subject: Regression - frustration! > > > To: mb12 valtrex > > > Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 4:34 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey guys, > > > > > > Just wondered if anyone else has the same frustration. Guest guest
I tried an OTC version for my son. No change, but it came with two so I tried it on myself. I feel slightly less anxious when I use it. I have one student who annoys all of us with his high pitched repetitive noises. When I use the spray, I find myself hugging him instead of wanting to leave the room. It could be in my head, but it's true. > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > From: ehutchison1973 <ehutchison1973@> > >> > > Subject: Regression - frustration! > >> > > To: mb12 valtrex > >> > > Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 4:34 AM > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > Hey guys, > >> > > > >> > > Just wondered if anyone else has the same frustration.
