It could be sensory issues, like a sensory integration disorder or a neuralgia.

Don't know for sure of course, just ideas.

evaluate him in regards to being on the Spectrum.  From what I have heard

stimming is the only autism characteristic that he has.  He shakes his hands

(flapping) a lot.    I am wondering what could this be caused from?  She is

bringing him by my house this weekend to see if I can see anything or other

characteristics of Autism. Any ideas or advice I could give her?  Thanks

My child is not on the autism spectrum, although I truly believe that if we

didn't intervene with diet, supplements and addressing toxins, we would have an

asperger's child by the time he reaches middle school. When my son does these

things, it's related to yeast or bacterial overgrowth. People can point you to

therapy and diets all you want, but for us, it's ALWAYS pathogens...the diet is

important in the process of healing an unhealthy gut, don't get me wrong, but

the cause is usually something going on in the gut, and imbalance. That is just

my opinion, based on my children.

Stimming but no autism?

I have a friend who has a five year old boy. The school thought they should evaluate him in regards to being on the Spectrum. From what I have heard stimming is the only autism characteristic that he has. He shakes his hands (flapping) a lot. I am wondering what could this be caused from? She is bringing him by my house this weekend to see if I can see anything or other characteristics of Autism. Any ideas or advice I could give her? Thanks
