Vitamin C and cold sores

Vitamin C is a vitamin that one of my daughters is deficient in and I

have just found a really good (natural and inexpensive) source for her

-- sauerkraut! However, when I eat the same amount of sauerkraut that

she eats I get cold sores. About a tablespoon or two a day and I have

cold sore city. I've noticed this before when I take any Vitamin C

supplements.

Is this good - i.e. something " coming out " and I should keep doing it,

or is this bad - i.e. an indication I shouldn't take the extra Vitamin

C? Any thoughts?

Sorry - that should have been " canker sore " not cold sore. They are

inside my mouth only.

Cold sores/canker sores are viral. Sounds like the vitamin C is telling you that you have viral issues. Lysine should get rid of your sores.
